I was browsing twitter hours ago and i passed by a tweet by Oprah. It says 'Be thankful for what you have, you'll end up having more. If you concentrate of what don't have you will never ever have enough'. There was a sudden nudge to reflect and I thought why not count for blessings at that moment. So i started scribbling things that quickly comes to my mind which I am thankful for and i wrote: living parents, brother and sisters, job, friends, good health, money, seeing and experiencing different places, comfortable house, good food, clean air, gadgets, kind people, wisdom, water, supplements, clothes, carpenters who help build our house, budget airlines... ... to my amazement there are still a lot in my mind that I'm grateful for. God truly blesses! How about mylotters do you have things to thank for.?

Wow...a very nice quotation indeed. I think we all have to reflect on it because it is definitely true...let us all be contented on what we have and be grateful!

It is similar to the saying, "don't look up, look down". Oftentimes, we neglect to be thankful for the little miracles that surround us because we are too focused on what we do not have. I have learned from experience that it is always best to count your blessings. So, each day before going to bed I do my best to count the wonderful things i have - a supportive and caring family, a job, a home, wonderful friends, health etc. There are a lot to be thankful for. :)

yes you are absolutely right. we should be thankful for all the blessings that God has given us. not just those materials but also the people that surrounds us.

I think most of us are guilty of taking everything we do have for granted, it's only when we lose them that we realize just how much we have lost. None of us knows whats around the corner so we should be thankful for what we have today and to indeed count our blessings. It is so easy to compare ourselves with others and measure up what they have and what we don't have.
