Like when you like it. The Most famous icon that facebook has created. Facebook users noticeably very addicting to click on the "Like" button. There was once a commercial in the Philippines when an old woman who tend to be technologically hype in spite of her age, just do the action of clicking to almost everything she does. Flower bloomed, like. Muffins baked, like. Dog wagged tail, like. All.. even in her sleeps she is doing the clicking "LIKE" button. Yes, users just click the like button to everything posted on the wall, even if the post is sometimes even to the posts inappropriate like about, for example, "I think I am going to be sick I don't feel well" funny that people will click on the LIKE button, when the Poster just trying to convey the message that I am going to be sick. Hello, do you like your friend to be sick? I don't think so. And even worse, just people click on it without leaving any comment such "go to the doctor, I hope you will not get flu, it quite rampant today." or.. "take your time off call the office you are sick and rest" Yes, worse, not leaving any consoling words for the person who just doesn't feel well, and maybe just needed some comforting words from "friends". Another one, "I am so sad today, my loved of my life and I just broke up." ... Oppsies... You and other 65 others LIKE this. well are you happy and yes finally she realized that this man is not good for her. "I met an accident yesterday, I am now at the hospital waiting for surgery", You and 75 others like this. The Life of the click LIKE. Amusing.... Well some people just don't think before liking. Just like it.. just like it.

@Mavic123456 Facebook actually annoys me for many reasons. And one of them is the use of the Like and Dislike buttons. Though small, it can bring harm. People tend to Like a post and not comment, just like you said. Instead of commenting of even messaging the poster a private message they would rather Like and keep on scrolling. And now we have the Dislike button which can leave the poster wondering what they did wrong. I actually get annoyed with some users because some post things to bring attention to themselves. Like people saying they are feeling really sad and hate life and people ask what's going on and the user will not answer anyone on purpose to make others feel worried. I don't like that! Facebook is good for many things but some of the people on there drive me nuts! And the fights people have on there, oh my goodness! I've seen children act more mature!

yes, I was a bit NOT a fan of FB, I have an account in fact before I have several accts because I am playing farmville. Now I don't even log in my account, and that's true I don't like to see the second per second activity of my friend. I don't need to know where she went for a laundry or when she got a paper cut. Fights! haha I agree with you there.

@VivaLaDani13 This one is my friend, in fact, until now. I came to the point that I hid her page LOL . now I put it back because I don't much of FB anymore. I still have an account but that's it. Yes that's the reaction... so what? who cares? ok?

@Mavic123456 lol exactly! I'm not really interested in knowing what people are doing every minute of the day. Yet, for some reason some people really like to let everyone know what they are up to! I try not to say anything but sometimes I feel like commenting saying "So?" lol like ....who cares that you just put your socks on! That's what people do!

It is not really bad to LIKE the post if it is really likable. Nothing is wrong with that. But more obvious mistake is, when they like even the negative posts.

well at least you are so conscious about LIKEing whatever is posted on your friend's wall. And I hope it will get across to some people too. Whether they have done it as a mistake or not. Yes, I think friends would know if we are concern to them or not. and why not just a simple comment. that will help a lot

Maybe friends are liking each other to show support on each posts..lol..I notice that too.And I sometimes laugh in instances like there was one time a friend of mine posted,"I wanna die"and she got many likes. Is that to show some sort of facebook support instead of commenting to give a moral support?

Yeah! Amusing it is! Many facebookers don't know the meaning of 'like'. They just 'like' it to point out maybe that they were updated by that status of their friend and never think that it could be an act of stupidity. I really had been addicted with FB, but time flies that I started to get bored about this 'liking', if they care then why not PM their friends or post a comment...

Yes, sometimes if I don't see a person has been active in facebook I send this person a message about how life is going on with her/him. Sometimes, people get tired of facebook too and resorting to different kinds of site to spend time to. like here in mylot

Yes, I do notice it also often. Yes it is very weird that people who are fond in liking doesn't really realize why they should press the like button in an specific posts of their Facebook friends even if it is bad or something an ill to the Poster. It is better to comment then to like for those kinds of Facebook status.

thank you for sharing your observation with some. At least now that in facebook you have to realize first what is meant on the posts. I hope that this discussion and the valuable contributions you and other mylotters would be able to cut across some people that LIKEing is not just LIKEing it is meant to be for LIKEable posts only
