A Horrible Act

Hearts are broken in my home state of Ohio today. A three year old boy was found dead in the waste containment a few miles from his home yesterday. The mother, young, dumb, and immature, (21 years of age and has two other children) called the police claiming that she had taken her young son to the park in 35 degree weather.
As she was assisting her child in the swing, she turned her back and found the toddler had vanished. As the police and FBI investigated, the officers began to suspect some inconsistencies with the mother's story as to where her child was last seen and her story didn't add up.
Her middle child was pointing to a container that was properly labeled, 'Waste Management'. With her back to the wall, she finally confessed and told the authorities where the body of her son was. She was arrested and been charged with murder. An autopsy was conducted. As of now, there is no indication as to how the boy met his demise. But, the coroner later confirmed that the boy had been dead since Friday of last week.
I'm not a parent, but In know that there are unspeakable acts that befall on the hands of our children. I want to be a mother one day and it pains me to hear the downfall of children at the hands of the ones that are suppose to take care of them from evils such as these. I don't know if I'll be able to live with myself if my child is harmed or killed in any way. This is a touchy subject. What are your thoughts?

Wow, reading this gives me the chills. How could a mother harm her own child?? I wonder if she had a severe psychological illness because I can't begin to think of what her motive must've been. There's no justifiable reason for harming an innocent child. If she was overwhelmed and didnt want him there were so many other options available to her. There are women who are infertile and wish they could have a baby. Countless people would've been happy to love and raise that three year old little boy. I try not to judge others but it breaks my hear that this "mother" could commit such a crime when she should be the one protecting her children. What a horrible story!

After now being charged with murder of her son, people in her family want to be concerned now that this little one is gone. The family had some eerie feelings about the care of the children, and worse, this slag that killed her son posted on Facebook that she wanted to place her children in adoption so she could pursue her singing career. Have you ever?!

This is heart breaking. I am a mother and I will do anything to protect my son from any harm. Children should be taken care of and don't deserve to be hurt or die especially since there are so many things that in store for them in their future. I hope they find out what really happened to the child in the name of justice. I know everyone wants to have children but I hope couples make plans on just how many they can afford to raise, I'm not talking only of finances but also in regards with time and effort needed in shaping young souls to become a good person and having them enjoy their lives.

Oh, how awful. I can't imagine what could have driven this woman to this. I hope the other two children were young enough that they won't really remember this.

This is terrible, The mother is out of her mind. How could she do that to her own son. I know she's young and she dealing with a lot of stress but is never a good excuse and there never will be a good excuse for murdering a child.

Whew, really this is horrible. the mother had snapped and wanted to get rid of her children? is this it? the mother had bad hair day? The mother is surely having psychiatric episodes. There are many cases like this, due to mother's mental health problem (as she claims) there are horrible things she can do. Sometimes it has brought about by the postpartum depression or most known to be post natal depression
though it is said to be after the baby's birth. These are mothers who have depressions while pregnant. Mothers having these are irritable, have change in appetite, self pity, guilty. and so on.. same as the depression.

I have heard stories like this, some mothers get away with it by admitting she has a mental health problem.

what an insane woman, what a bad mother and what a crazy world! im so sorry to day this but im so angry with this story. of course im not angry to you. im a mom with a five y.o daughter. i dream of having a son recent days but i should be patient cos i got miscarriage two months ago. i should postpon to be pregnant till next march or may. that is why im very angry to her cos she did such a very bad act to his son meanwhile im here dreaming of having a son. moreover, children should be everything for their parents. children never ask to be born but parents want it. but why when they are born they harm them even kill them? i dont ubderstand this woman. if she doesnt love her children, why she has three children? yeah, maybe having three children is not her pure willing but still she shoud responsible to their life cos they have been born already. and if she cant feed them then, she could ask government to let them being adopted. they deserve better parent than her. God, i want to cry. May God forgives her..:((

I completely agree with you. That is such a horrible thing. My heart goes out to all the children who have lost their life in because of being killed by others. It is truly a heartbreaking thing to think about. Things like this continue to happen more and more.

A horrible act indeed. Poor baby, what a cold blooded mother. How can she do that to her own flesh, she doesn't deserve to be a mother. She didn't just killed one son, she also put her other children in jeopardy for taking their brother from them. Imagine how it's like for her other child to know what she did to their brother.

Truely horrible. I could never understand why a mother can do this. I understand that
she might be tired taking care of her children, but it's her kid, it's a baby, how can a mother harm a baby. How does she feel while doing it? I just can't find any logic answer when it comes to a parent harming their kids. And she's not too you to
play dumb in this case.
