Going home from work, we should travel by RORO. And with the 40-minute travel time, all you can think of is to sleep - especially when you're not feeling well. My fiancé has to left me early for him to catch up with the bus because of so many employees going out after the RORO has arrived. He told me before leaving "do not sleep" ..but I'm really sleepy so I slept. And the RORO has arrived! I wasn't able to wake up early to go down and prepare before the ramp goes down - I was startled so I went off fast. While going down the stairs, I feel like coughing - my handkerchief was gone. It's so important to me especially that I have a cough. I forgot to check it before I left but I cannot go back anymore. There are so many people on the stairs and it's hard to go back so I just felt sad that time. Have you experienced that? Losing the important thing for you on that day? Like you forgot your umbrella on the bus - on a rainy day.

You keep 4 hankies with you? Wow, you have so many. I think I only have 6 all in all. Maybe I should start buying more of them then. Yes, it's really important to have a handkerchief with you everyday. It has lots of use for ourselves like wiping wet hands and sweat and same with covering the face, nose or mouth during some cases.

Hi adnileb Ah that is sad but my wife keeps a spare bunch of hankies in her bag (or if you want... purse - she calls that a purse still) I dont remember forgetting stuff on train or buses but yes, I have become quite forgetful these past few days. I forgot to take my cash or the debit card to the store 3 days back and it ws only at the counter to pay when I searched my pockets I realized I forgot them... I am growing old, I guess

Oh so you are still not using the new one you purchased online? That seems to be spacious... unless you stuff books, keys, hankies and so many other things that my wife stuffs into hers. I think she needs some bigger so that she can also stuff some sweaters, and clothes in that And yes, I agree that I am growing old and at

Oh my, I guess that's worse than forgetting hankies. It's not a guess that you're growing old - you really are. I don't keep spare hankies because it will just add a load on my bag. - I don't call it a purse unless it's so small.

Oh, I am using my new bag already but it's already loaded. No space for another hanky. Besides, I might forget both of the hankies. It's nicer to have a bigger bag when traveling or going somewhere but in my case, I prefer small bags because there are lots of things to do in our company gate - like fall in line, scan big bags, go to the security, then go the scanner and get the bag. DOn't wait til your 40. Memory gets much weaker - stronger on forgetting things. And seriously, chocos again? You're really a choco addict. Even the tablets, you want them to be stuffed with choco. (and coated with cream)

The most important thing for me is my Ipod! I hate being without it, especially when I go to the gym to work out, the music helps me and motivates me to do my exercises at my gym, I feel so lost and whenever I don't have my music the exercises become boring and I don't get the same enjoyment out of my work out. I also use my Ipod as protection because sometimes I get people saying nasty things as I walk past them, when I have my Ipod on I can't hear them, and I feel vulnerable without it.

Lost handkerchief? Well you are not alone. I've actually lost countless hankies and because of that I don't buy hankies anymore. It makes me really bad when I lose things but I don't understand why I really am so forgetful. Hankies, umbrellas, ballpens, eyeglasses even cellphones and a lot of small items. I can lose any handcarried things at any one point. Anyway, at least I am not alone. Many people are just like me.

At home I have around 8 reading glasses but there are times I could not find even one hahahaha!Losing expensive eyeglasses is something to cry over. To me it is not advisable to buy expensive ones because when I lose them surely I'd shed tears as much as you did. Cellphone, yes I lost two times, I must have misplaced and somebody took.

Do you forget your eyeglasses and cellphones somewhere? Or at home and just forget to bring them out with you? I hope you just forget those things at home. Those were kind of expensive. I lost my eyeglasses once, I hooked it up on my shirt when it's raining hard and I can't see anymore because of the water in it so I removed it. But then, after some time, it was gone. I almost cried because it's really expensive. But then, somebody got it and so I had it back to me. Do you think it's an illness that we keep on forgetting things? Or we aren't just aware of those things soometimes since they're always part of our daily routine? I just don't get it, how could we forget them when they're so important to us?

Oh my, 8 reading glasses and not one to be found inside your own home? You're really one forgetful person. And much worse, two cellphones?? Well, I couldn't afford losing even one. Maybe you shouldn't be using a cellphone anymore.

I've only taken a ferry once. I'm not fond of our local boats or ships especially after all those accidents I hear. But regardless of what mode of transportation I take, plane or boat or bus, I always make sure that I don't leave any of my personal belongings behind, even a small thing like a pen. I get a little frustrated if I misplace something. What more if I know I had left it and I can no longer get it back

That's good for you. It's always sad knowing that you can't have it back. You know, I have always done that. Forgetting something very important. There was one day, I forgot my foods in the taxi. Oh, what a stupid day for me. I know I keep on forgetting them all in one reason - when I'm in a hurry.

The umbrella is usually the one that I keep on forgetting because maybe, I really didn't want to be having it inside my bag ever since I was in school. I just hate bringing it. But of course now, much older and a bit wiser (), I need to have that always in my bag especially when fetching my son from school.

I understand that one. I too hate bringing umbrella and put them in my bag. And before, I always look for the smallest umbrella possible. Well, that's in case of emergency. For typhoons and rainy season, I have to bring a stronger umbrella. So now you're being forced to bring umbrella because of your son. Anyways, it's hard for them to get sick that's why even if you don't want to, you have to bring it.

Oh my, losing a credit card or ATM card is difficult. You have to fix some papers to get the replacement. Well, that's the case here in my place, I just don't know in your place. Is it the same process too? It's really frustrating. Does swiping your credit card needs a password? I haven't got any ever since so I have no idea. Because if there's no password, it's dangerous that others might use it.

Indeed little things like a hanky when lost and needed means a lot. For the purpose, I and my wife is always ready with a few folds of tissue when out of the house or town for a day or two. I suggest using tissue than hanky for obvious reasons. A roll of double ply tissue with brand V.... cost P25.00 here in our town. Carrying in the pocket with a few folds of tissue will surely save the day.

Sounds a good idea but I'm more comfortable in using hankies against my cough. Maybe when it comes to colds, I prefer using a tissue than a hanky. Thanks!

I might lost one or two things in the bus before, but they are not important though. Like a shirt, or a pair spare shoes, that is all. I can get them replaced by buying a new one. I think you should be careful next time when you ride this RORO thing, maybe you can keep everything together on your holding, even though you go off sleep, you won't lose them again.

You forgot your shirt and a pair of spare shoes? Aren't they important to you? Well, yes, you can buy a new one but I think those are expensive things or the least costly. But anyways, people have different views on what stuffs are important to them. Yes, next time, I will look left and right and back and see if I have left something. Actually, I have found my hanky this morning. We ride the same RORO as yesterday. It was only parked the whole night and no one was left there so it was still there this morning.

It's a good thing if you forgot them in your house or at the gym where you can still go back the next day and some people will not get your valuables. Aren't you wondering, the most important things are those being forgotten. I notice that in every situation or things or people, sometimes, the most important are those being forgotten by us. Well, guess what, I found my hanky this morning. It's the same RORO like yesterday so it's still there.

Oh, sorry to hear that :(, I've experienced losing something that's important but not really that important. I mean there is much more important than important and that is what we value. The things that we value are the most important thing to us. I've experienced leaving my umbrella in a certain place yet, I can have it back. I've lost my handkerchief as well but it's okay I'll just think I can buy a new one despite the fact that I've having a cough or a cold. But, if the handkerchief is a gift., well I will surely be sad. It's really different thing when you have it co'z you bought it than you have it cause someone give it to you.

Yes, it's been a week now and it's still here, wouldn't like to go away from me. Anyways, I was really sleepy that time - droopy eyes - and so I was shocked and forgot to check it. Hankies and umbrellas seem to be on the top list of the things always forgotten.

Yup, been there with the umbrell but not with the wallet. Having a bag with me makes me not forget the other things. But if I have something with me other than my bag, I sometimes forget them too. Belinda, before when i was still young and don't know how to drive yet, i use bus to work. I ever loss a few items when back by bus. Majorities are umbrellas and other are like a story book and a pen. Most of the time, i loss them due to a rush. Only one time i loss my umbrella is due to too sleepy. Same like you, i was very ill at that time but still need to go to work.

So now it's really an advantage that you know how to drive. How I wish I have my own car too. Well maybe when I can go abroad and save much. Small items are really forgettable but you know what, there was a time I forgot my other bag with lots of food in it. It was so sad. I forgot it in the taxi and yes we're also in a hurry that time.

I can't go out without my handkerchief too. I sweat a lot especially on the face, so there is no way that I must forget my hankies. But, there's an incident that I lost it or maybe dropped it somewhere. Since then I kept an extra handkerchief inside my bag whenever I go out.

I still have some handkerchiefs here but I just badly need it at that moment for my cough. So, it's really important for me. Oh you know what? I am the type of person who cannot leave home without a handkerchief. I feel naked without one. I have been that way since I was a kid. But you also want to know another thing? I ALWAYS, ALWAYS lose my handkerchief when I go out. My husband knows me so well in that whenever we go out, he now carries an extra hankie or 2 just in case I again lose or forget somewhere the hankie I have in my hand.
@adnileb (5276)

ALWAYS ALWAYS? I have a suggestion... Why not put a string on your hanky and tie it in your hand? It must be a good looking string so it will look cute in your hands.

Hi adnileb, it is normal to forget something when you are tired and sleepy. Besides, you were in a hurry too at that time. So, the percentage prone to loosing things is quite high. That is why we need to be keep our things close to us if we want to fall asleep or if we feel that we are forgetful or will be in a hurry later. Well, that happens to me too. I was in a hurry to leave for home. And accidentally forgotten my bag. Fortunately, i came back for it and it is still there. Next time i need to double check before i leave. By the way, did you take your handkerchief out of our pocket to use earlier and did not keep it back, and fell asleep? Otherwise, it's impossible you loose it.

I was holding my handkerchief, so in case I would have to cough, it's just in my hands and ready to use. Then I fell asleep. I was tired, sleepy and in a hurry, all the possible reasons were in me. So high chance of really forgetting it. And where did you forget your bag? Good thing it was still there when you went back. I'm not feeling well again today. So I might forget my handy once more. Later, I will check it forst before leaving.

I left it at my working place. But fortunately nobody was around, so it didn't went missing. Otherwise, i am going to... Keep your handy well, i would suggest you to get a bottle of hot-warmed water with you. Each time you feel like coughing, quickly take a sip of some hot water (not too hot, make sure is tolerable to your throat). Test the temperature of the water first. That will surely make you feel better and stop coughing for awhile. I just recovered from mine not long ago...but seems to return again slightly. I am trying to drink more water, and rest to avoid getting sick again. You take care..

yes i did. one time, while i was heading to the downtown, i was riding a tricycle then. suddenly i remembered that i have someone to be texted. but when i was searching my cellphone in my pocket, it wasn't there. i really needed it that time because my friend was waiting for my text message. however, my cellphone was gone and it was never retrieved. not even the sim card. too bad.

You lost your phone in the tricycle? Oh my, that's terrible experience. How come many drivers are still irresponsible when somebody left something in their car. We should always be careful with our belongings especially for those expensive ones. Well, anyways, that's a bad experience and I know you have learned your lesson for that.
15 Dec 12
yes, that really taught me a lesson. after it happened for the third time. now i'm really very careful in handling my things most especially when riding. the simcard is more important than the cellphone.
