I have to ask, what is your opinion of suicide?

I ask this question because over the years I have lost 2 close friends and an aquaintance to suicide.
I think the biggest emotion I felt each time was anger....then such sadness.
Anger at the fact that they would do that. They would leave us behind, wondering, hurting.
And then sadness...such a huge sadness because I can't imagine feeling so alone and thinking that there is no one that loved you, or cared for you, to the point you would believe that the world is better off you are gone.
I wish these people could know how wrong they are. My friends were both loved, very much, by their families, thier friends, their children. It's been many years since they passed but I still think about them.

If life is so bad that they want to take their own lives, who are we to judge them. I know it is sad, but it is also selfish to think "Why would they leave us behind" - Unlikely that they decided to kill them themselves lightly

I agree...although I felt angry at first because I loved them both so much and valued their friendship, I don't hold it against them because there is no way any of us could ever imagine how that must feel. The lonliness. The feeling that they are worth nothing. It is so sad.
