I am a very sensitive and a smart girl. but whenever it comes to shopping, it the one thing that can change my mood no matter how low i feel. Is it really ok to spend money just to be in a good mood. is it the money that matters or the mood??? If it is mood what is preferable online shopping or offline shopping????

i don't think you should use shopping for a pick me up. you can buy things you don't need and spend money you don't necessarily have that way. find something else to be a mood boaster such as sitting down with a good book (libraries are most often free and have thousands of books to choose from!) or go for a walk or call a friend or work on a hobby. these are a few ideas that will save you money and boast your mood at the same time!

Hi vishakha!
This is one reason why I won't go to the mall whenever I am not feeling good about something. I would rather stay at home and participate in myLot. But before, I admit, I also do that. I would go to that mall just to pamper myself or to release whatever problem that I may have. Everything change when I discovered about online earnings and especially when I discovered myLot.
Have a nice day!

Hi, i don't doubt that you are a sensitive and smart girl.
However, i think depends whether it is okay or not to spend money just to be happy. I think it's okay if we only do it sometimes. But not always.
We still need to control our spending. Otherwise, if we keep buying stuff to keep us happy, we'll be broke in no time.
Also, do remember that material will only make us happy for a limited time. after a while, the happiness feeling will fade. we should find more meaningful stuffs to do to make ourselves happier.

Hi,
I am a practical shopper. I only buy what I need to improve my life and nothing more. The danger of buying something to alleviate our bad mood is that we may spend on something useless, something we don't really need, a luxury that we can do without and may end up regretting the action. Worse still, it may lead us to ruin or in a really bad situation.
Whenever I buy something, it is only after a careful and rational weighing of the facts to make it worthwhile, offering long-lasting happiness and satisfaction out of its usefulness in our endeavor to improve our life and the life of others.

I enjoy shopping. I shop when I'm happy, sad, mad, etc..I just enjoy shopping. I don't like to go to the store when I don't have the money to buy the things I want. I don't spend money just to be in a "good" mood, and I'm usually pretty smart with what I spend my money on, but sometimes it's nice to take a break from being so responsible all the time, even if I can't afford to. Who wants to be a Debbie downer all the time? I think being in the store itself helps to put me in a better mood, because of the atmosphere, watching other people hustling, and being around all the bright colors. I don't really have to buy anything when I'm mad, just being out of the house and away from my troubles is good enough to lift my mood.

I feel the same. Most of my splurge shopping comes whenever I feel hurt... shopping can calm me down and relax me. I'm saying as long as someone isnt suffering financially because of it, why not? But after they have children or have to keep the household, and the shopping creates a problem, they should learn to manage money... that's gonna be quite a challenge for me.

it was the habit of ladies to shop, every time she shopped certainly spend much money could even be a day, why a woman like that ?
while money is hard at looking and much in need, why the money was is in the use of money self-indulgence, why not for charity, it's a good thing.

I have the same feeling as you. If I am in bad mood, I would like to spend money on buying things, such as clothes, shoes, but if I have little money, just window shopping is OK. I prefer offline shopping as I can know the quality of stuff directly.
