Christmas-themed smileys and the likes here in mylot

Well, it's that time of the year again where people deck the halls with balls of jolly, as the song says so. We can see Christmas decorations almost everywhere now and gift-buying is one of the to-dos in many people's list right now. It's the yuletide season, and even here in mylot there are already many discussions about it. Now, I wonder if the mylot people (those that are running this site) would ever consider putting up Christmas decors as well here in this site, like cool Christmas decor on the MYLOT logo and maybe redesign our smileys to have the Santa hot or the Rudolph nose. I'm sure that will liven up this place a little more...and when they start doing this, they might as well do the same during halloweens and other international holidays. So what do you guys think about this? Any other suggestions to spread the spirit of Christmas around here?

I wouldn't mind seeing Christmas themes here. It might make discussions fun and less antagonistic But I guess it would be somewhat unfair to other non-Christian members. By the way, I thought it was boughs of holly

I was thinking about that, too, that non-Christian issue so I actually said that it should also be done during their holidays, but I think they would really mind a few decors to lighten up the place. Yes, it is indeed boughs of holly, but I remember singing it that way (balls of jolly) when I was young, thinking that it made more sense because at that time I didn't know what boughs and holly meant.

Sorry about that, I meant "they wouldn't really mind a few..."

Would it increase the quality of discussions? I doubt it! By the way it's "boughs of holly" not "balls of jolly": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deck_the_Halls

Well, we can't really say it won't, but I'm sure it will be something to talk about. Yes, I wrote it that way on purpose because I used to sing it that way back when I was a child since I really didn't know the meaning of boughs and holly at that time.

That's a good idea! I never thought of anything like that, but I think that would be really cute if Mylot would start having holiday themed smileys. I would definitely not mind seeing them, and would probably use them myself. It would just be a fun way to dress things up.

I'm sure others would agree as well. It would be fun to have something new to look at once in a while around here, aside from discussions of course.

I love the idea of holiday related smileys! It would certainly add some festivity to discussions..lol. It would be super neat because we could even see the festive smileys from other cultures and learn about the holidays that are important to them too. Great idea!

Thanks. I hope someday mylot administration would consider this. I'm open to learning holidays celebrated by others as well, and in celebrating with them we could form many good discussions and share the celebration as well.

I would love to see some festive holiday decorations. The one problem remaining might be the people who frequent the sight and are not Christians or they belong to some other religion, hate to offend anyone and that would always be a possibility. I would love to see thanksgiving, Easter, or even seasonal smiley's for those of us who wish to use them. Great idea.

I don't think it would really be offensive that way, but I guess some would be offended anyway. Well, I'd be okay with any other not related to Christian holiday themes around just as long as it doesn't step out of boundaries.
