Linking your bank account to Paypal

India

I have registered for a Paypal account recently but still I'm kind of undone as don't know whether to link my Debit card or my Bank account. - Which is the best and secured one for linking to your Paypal account? - Is there any risk of linking your Bank account to your Paypal account? I know most of us here might know these things very well, so just want to hear whatever views you have regarding this. Thank you.

I have mine in my bank, though I have not declared my paypal here yet. I just had paypal to reimburse money from someone. I did not have any problem except of course after I received it I withdrew on the same day. Whew, nowadays we always get suspicious to whatever, because of a lot of scams that have been rampant nowadays.

I have also linked my bank account with paypal two months ago but i didnt add my debit card. i dont think there is any risk as paypal is the worlds most trusted online money transaction site. after the paypal account is verified u can send money in ur local bank account by sitting at the comfort of ur home.

Since you are from India, I think that you don't have an option. You will HAVE to link it to a bank account and you will also have to give your PAN code and a purpose code (which is described in the Help pages of PayPal). PayPal is a well-respected and secure site, so there is no danger in giving them your bank details. You ought to be aware, however, that, because of restrictions imposed by the RBI, any funds in your PayPal account will be withdrawn to your bank automatically within 7 days of receipt. Because of this arrangement, PayPal have chosen to waive the charges they would normally make for this (though they may make a charge for converting dollars to rupees).

I'd rather link my Paypal account to my bank. I feel comfortable and a bit secure since it's easier to see my transactions as compared to debit cards. And no one can withdraw or transfer funds out of my bank account without me knowing it. Debit cards I feel are like ATM cards that can be hacked. And it would be a bit too late if and when I find out about it. Well, just my opinion.

hi there, for me, i rather linked my paypal account rather to use my bank account. however, if i don't have any option, i will just use my debit card to link with paypal. either of the two, i will take a close monitoring of my transaction since this form part of my hard-earned money.

Hi there. I linked my credit card to the PayPal account. I dunno if its a good choice. Because I'm a bit doubtful if I'm gonna link my bank account. Although I think I can still monitor my credit card because it will appear also in my transactions because its online banking. Hope a lot here will give us some good advices.

I will advice you to link your bank account to the Paypal account. I feel it is more better that any other means. I also have linked the bank account only. Once the amount is in your bank no one can take it and keeping the funds in the bank account are much more safer. Also if you link the bank account, once you give the PAN card Number,Bank account number and Purpose code then the amount will be autowithdrawn in to your account and after that you don't have to bother about it. Happy myLotting :-)

Paypal is the most trusted payment processor now a days. So there is no risk of adding a bank account to paypal. With a bank account you can only withdraw your paypal money and you need credit card to make purchases.
