Have you ever spoilt a friend's tv viewing?

The other night I had a dream about a vortex in Australia and my Aussie friend JJ was in it. I haven't spoken to him in a long time. Two hours ago I got a text message from him on Whatsapp. When it started with, "Can I ask you a favour?" I already felt that I may have done something bad. I let him continue as he was still typing and I didn't reply yet. He said, "Can you please block me from your Survivor posts? We're 4 weeks behind in Australia." To which I replied, "Oh geez I didn't know!! I am so sorry!!!" I have him on my friends list on Facebook and I use Hoot Suite to update my Facebook and Twitter at once. Then he said, "It's ok darling x" and further said it's not my fault that I didn't know. Then the next sentences all had x at the end. Hahaha. How sweet of him to tell me I spoiled his Survivor viewing unknowingly yet he made me feel it was not my fault. I told him I won't post anymore on Facebook about Survivor. In a way I was kinda surprised that he only said something about it now since I have posted stats about Survivor before since it aired here in the Philippines and it's been like almost three months already. I remember back in September I did tell him I was watching Survivor and he didn't even say anything like he is watching the show too etc. Have you ever had an experience where you unknowingly spoilt a show for someone?

I download and watch some TV series which some of my friends and my girlfriend also watch. There are times that I talk about scenes from the show unknowingly that my friend hadn't watch it yet. He would scold me and I'd apologize. It sometimes becomes a joke amongst us friends and my girlfriend. We pretend to unintentionally spoil a scene of the show which actually didn't really happen and we'd apologize. The only way to find out then if it really happened is to watch the show.

That's funny . Yeah I get that kind of joke too from my youngest sister who has this sarcastic sense of humour. She would sometimes mislead me with who got voted out from The Voice two weeks ago, for instance. The Voice being shown in AXN is like 2 weeks behind.

I did this joke on my girlfriend on several occasions and she would really scold me and even get so mad at me. In the end though, she would find out that it was really just a joke and not a spoiler so she would just laugh and be okay.

Hi friend, your experience is really crazy. I never had this kind of experience with my friends. We all have different views about different things, our opinion don't spoil other persons activity and attitude, so don't worry for this issue. Hope you both are still continuing your good freindship

Thanks, vidhyaprakash! Yeah we are still friends but we don't talk much. I don't initiate talking to him anymore as he may be busy with work. Lol.

I never actually watch television shows on the day that they are aired. So, I am typically the one that will have the programs ruined for me instead of being the person that will ruin it for other people. For example, I went out with my mother and sister to quiz night at a local bar the other day and they got to talking about The Amazing Race episode from earlier in the week. Well, I had been planning on watching it that night, but then I didn't know if there was a point because they had told me who had been eliminated. I did watch the episode anyway because they told me that it was very interesting, and it was, but I wish they had not told me who was eliminated.

Awww I hate knowing ahead too who got eliminated. But if I still could stop them then I would.

It seemed odd to me that he didn't tell me before when I first mentioned Survivor that he was tuning in to the show too. We only exchange messages on and off. I wrote a discussion about a random guy I chatted last week and I thought that my friend is kinda like him in some ways - I would just be surprised by his comment. One time I told him I had a degree in Psychology but he didn't make a comment about it, I would then find out in another conversation 4 months later that he almost ended up in Psychology back in college, that his father was a psychotherapist and that he would read his father's collection of Psychology books during his free time. I was then thinking to myself, "Why didn't he tell me this before?" I find it weird.

I don't remember one... but I remember that on the 6th Harry Potter book's publication day a kid told us the ending just because he was mean to spoil our entertainment... I was so angry.

I would be annoyed at that too. I have never spoilt a Harry Potter ending to anyone intentionally - I've read all the books before seeing the movies.
