How Can We Show God that We Don't Hate God?

I learned why G*d thinks we hate him last night. I enjoy Karaoke---getting up on a (little) stage and singing words displayed on a screen while backup-music plays. Duets especially. I go to one Karaoke-bar, and last night I felt like singing a duet with another regular up there. She said, "No, I have a cold and can't sing that high." That was fine, except then she goes & drags some other guy (also not her current husband) up there to sing a duet. I don't know how she knows him (maybe they are siblings, co-workers ... I don't know), and I remembered 'THIS IS KARAOKE, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO MISS A FEW NOTES!' Remembering her reply, the back of my psychic-mind heard her screaming at me, "No! Leave me alone, you crooked-looking creep!" That's what G*d hears when we do ANYTHING without giving him the glory! Even when we do sinful things (G*d forbid), we should give him the glory of the 'happiness' we derive from the action. (No, that's NOT an excuse to do more 'sinful things' because they FEEL SO GOOD ; rather, it's an illustration of the omnipresence of G*d's spirit-or-something!) So how should we glorify G*d with everything we do (in church & out of church, helping others & helping ourselves)? I think it starts with spending a lot of time reading your Holy Book---I'm still not sure which is 'my' holy book, so I've rehd the Christian Bible & am working on reading the Muslim Quran. That way, you kind of figure out 'what G*d likes' and 'what G*d doesn't like' and 'when something G*d doesn't like (ending human lives) is an acceptable action (when the continuance of SOME human lives is a detriment to OTHERS' lives).'

Every good action can glorify God.And following his commandments is a good example of not hating him.

But what if he asks you to break one of his commandments?

Well, what if He asks you to do something that you can't do WITHOUT breaking one of His commandments (like 'work on the Sabbath')?

He will never ever ask you to break even one of His commandments.

We can show God that we don't hate Him by first thanking Him that we were born. That's why we can see His creations because we are alive. Let us appreciate His creations and enjoy living in accordance to His will.

No. "(G*d's) reason is above/beyond (our) reason." (G*d told Job) I interpret that as saying 'WHATEVER "reason" mankind could conjecture for G*d is only a little peephole on His entire "plan".' "Worship" is only 'placing the candle on a high place in the room.' I.e. keeping in everyone's mind what the TRUE source of the world's incredible creations is, and using them to continue glorifying Him forever. (And that's not just saying 'we will love you forever' and then turning to serve "money" the rest of the week, that's ACTING- and ENCOURAGING OTHERS TO ACT-in such a way that they will continue to exist forever!') Researching the 'true sense of the word' (etymology), I find "worship" is the verb from the noun for 'the worthiness of something' (making the verb mean something like 'affirming- or proving that worthiness'). Every step I take is 'worship' infinity-times more than any "song" (unless it's ME singing it )

Okay. Are you a pastor or something? And why don't you spell the word 'God'? Haha Just confused.

Worship is the reason why we were created.

I figure we should treat God like a good friend.. After all, isn't He our best friend, having endowed us with life in the first place, and then endowed thinking ability and reason.. and all the blessings which go with life.. So I personally think we should have a thankful attitude and heart.. It helps to view what God made as "behold it's all good" and things which aren't good, are the result of human actions and choices.

Or '"things which aren't good" are signs that G*d isn't finished working with them yet,' like the Middle East in the 'Old Testament'-days.

For me who is not a believer, I think God would have seen enough and if not ALL of who we actually ALL are, But, I don't think it should matter - it being trying to be or do something we don't represent. So, we plan and try to achieve our enviable results but succeed or fail, I believe you will agree with me that what really matters is how and what we do along the way. Most of all, what we do when we fail or simply did not get what we planned or wanted - like getting an unlikely partner for your duet. Being pragmatic most of the time is always not easier said than done. The daily decisions that we struggle doing the right and moral thing where at the end of the day you will still find yourself hurting someone who we love or matters to us. So, I think that by living it up and doing the best each day would matter more than anything and certainly worthy of God.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well God is present inside us and we should always respect and have utmost devotion for Him. It is hence our responsibility to keep the same devotion intact and do good deeds and keep everyone happy and seek his blessings always. I think he does every things fair with us and hence we should never prove our love for Him and hence we should keep loving him and wish that his blessings are always with us. What say?

Well, we SHOULD prove our love for him; just not necessarily through 'showy showing of affection' or 'huge donations.' More by 'supporting causes Our Father would support' and by 'not-oving or -supporting causes Our Father doesn't approve-of.'

The only way to truly hate God, is by hating your own self. How can someone say they truly love God, but have a particular hate for themselves, when the only thing that you can show and prove that God gave you, is you? Of course, the masses of people who are blind, deaf and dumb to the truth about God will love to say they don't hate themselves, in denial of the truth. By not knowing God, you automatically hate yourself, because God gave you a brain to use to it's maximum capacity. When you decide to limit your mind and not use it at full capacity, you're saying F God for giving you a full brain. There is a God, but he is not unseen, he is seen and heard everywhere. What purpose is your brain if everything important is brainless...
