Speed Doesn't Matter

So the same friend who called me on Thanksgiving just emailed me back yesterday saying he was in a car accident in which the driver ran into him at 80 mph, with no injuries or major damage to the car. It was on the freeway only 3 miles from home. He is in Calif and I'm way over on the other side of the country, so I didn't find out til much later. He said he was lucky. He hit his front right fender and did a 360. Years ago he fell on a bicycle going less than 10 mph and was in the hospital for a week with broken ribs. It doesnt always matter on the speed I guess. Have you ever experienced anything similar to this, either being struck by a car going too fast or being in a worse accident going at a normal or slow speed and got hurt really bad? What do you think of his recent accident?

I would say that your friend was indeed lucky. If your friend was also speeding, his injuries would probably be a lot worse. A speeding car will impact a lot harder than a car going slower.
People can get seriously injured in minor accidents and manage to escape serious injuries in major accidents. But speed does matter and so does carelessness.
Because the other driver was speeding, it was a good thing that your friend managed to escape serious injuries. I hope that your friend continues to drive safely and to be safe.

Oh maybe it depends on the situation and place where you will fall and with what?
some maybe lucky to survive on high speed driving and others just had a bad luck who get injured or maybe killed by just in slow speed...
Let's say someone is running below 60mph and fell into a high hill then that's a really bad luck man...
