I have never bought any exercising machine or gadget except for 4 dumbells, skipping rope and a body wrap sauna. Has anyone tried buying some different and unique types of exercising machines or gadgets and tell us how effective they are. Because I'm into fitness and wanted to bring my old fit body back I plan to buy some gadgets that would be effective for me.

You know I have tried the gym and different exercise equipment. For me, I would say the best is just a good old fashion walk. It is so much more enjoyable than going to the gym or trying to figure out how to use variouen s types of exercise equipment. Actually, I am thinking of moving in the near future, and as I am looking I am kind of drawn to the places that have walking and hiking trails. I have liked going for a walk. I think I could actually motivate myself to find the time to go for a walk a couple times a week especially if there were nice places to walk.
Yes, I have lived at complexes that have a gym, but honestly I have never used the gym once. Recently, I have thought about trying the one that is here at the complex where I currently live because the area is really not that safe for taking a walk. Then again, I am kind of scared to find out what type of disgusting germs are infecting the gym equipment. After getting pneumonia from the hot tub here in the complex, I have seriously looked at things with a different perspective.

Sorry to hear about the contamination you had in the tub. And thank you for reminding us that they are risks and dangers in using public utilities and that we needed to be careful about our choices. In this point, I would say having our own simple exercise gadgets at home like two dumbells and one barbell should be enough and would then help us avoid any kinds of possible contamination as we work in the convenience of our home.
About walking, I also would agree that it is the best form of exercise because it keeps us away from any possible injuries but the type of walking exercise I would recommend would include brisk walking at time to give us more sweat, unless we walk in a very long distance or for about an hour.

I have treadmills for regular daily exercise if I just want a lite exercise. I put the treadmills in front of tv, so rather than sitting, I can do treadmill while watching tv.
The best exercising machine is TRX. This is the best exercise gadget I ever use. You can do anything with this, and it will strengthen your core quickly. You can adjust the strength by adjusting the position, angle of your body. This is an amazing gadget, it is invented by an army guy. He invent this gadget so that army can still exercise everywhere with just tying this equipment in practically everywhere. Unbelivable equipment, good result, lots of function and not as expensive as treadmill.

I have to check out about TRX and how it looks like. Can you tell us how this machine works and why you think it gives very good results?
Anyway, I guess when talking about fitness machines treadmill would probably be the most used among them.

Treadmills can be good form of exercise. I used to use one. The thing I did not like about it and it may have just been that we bought a cheapy one is that we started having problems with the belt.
Come to think of it, I could go see if the gym here in the complex has a treadmill, but that requires having to put in tennis shoes. I love to wear my sandals. The sandals are really comfy and designed for walking. So, I can wear them and walk anywhere in them. I do know that if you are using exercise equipment that you need to wear tennis shoes. I really wear them. I think the last time I used them was like 2 years ago when moving. It was a freezing cold day, and I need sensible shoes for moving especially because it meant running up and down two flights of stairs.
If you want to get exercise try living on the second floor. I remember I used to get a lot of exercise running up and down stairs when I lived in a second floor apartment.

What a great idea using the stairs as a form of exercise because they really do give us a good sweat, especially if we're going upstairs.
Well, maybe if I could get an apartment on the fifth floor that could be even better
I heard people suggest about using the stairs intead of the elevator, and it should be good advice. In this case, I think elevators should be used only when very tired, sick or by people on a wheelchair.

As much as I would love to be able to have more exercise machines in my home so that I could do all of my exercising in the comfort of my own home, we just don't have the money or the space to put it all in our home. Because of that, I had to choose only one that I could put in my home and I opted to have a stationary bike. The reason that I chose that is that it doesn't take up a lot of room and it is also something that will give you a good cardiovascular workout.

I would say stationary bike should be another of the most popular exercise equipment out there because almost all fitness centers I have been to have stationary bikes.
If ever I buy an exercise equipment, I too would want something that is small and not spacious so I think stationary bike is one good option for me.

Number one for me would be the treadmill, that has been my bestfriend when it comes to losing weight. Plus the pilates mat, as I can perform pilates moves on it and piltaes has been effective in losing weight and shaping me up.

Yes, pilates has been an in thing not so many years ago even though I haven't tried it yet. I should try to read more information about it and if convinced, I would try to look for a pilates video to follow and execute it. I wonder if it's more used by women than men because that is the impression it gives me.
