Congratulations on the birth of your granddaughter. I'm sure that I got an earlier start than you. We have 5 grandchildren , two girls and 3 boys. Our oldest granddaughter made us great grandparents last year when William Aiden Rodriguez was born. Since he lives with his parents on the west coast, we don't get to see him often, but his mother calls frequently. Since our other 4 grandchildren are still in school, I don't expectant more greats for quite a while.

Since you are accustomed to having other people in the house, having your son and family living there with you should be great. Why did the boy who lived with you so long have to live to go to high school. Don't you have local schools?

Thanks, bellis716. My Son along with his wife and my grand daughter will be living with us otherwise my wife and I would be the only people in our house. My auntie went to live with her daughter who just moved to their new house. Then the young boy who lived with us since he was 9 is leaving us to go on to high school.

Congratulations proud grandfather! I'm already a grandparent of two kids. My nephew already had two children. I am 30 and he's 24. I guess I'm so young to be a granny. LOL. Hope your daugter-in-law and your granddaughter are both okay. Enjoy being a grandfather. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting. God bless you and your family.

Grandma @ 30 wow! You're too young :) So how does your grandchildren call you? Some grandparents don't wanna be called "grandpa or grandma". What's your grandchildren's term of endearment for you?

Congrats to you for being a grand father. My only one son is 24+. As per our tradition the right age of marriage is 26+. So chance my becoming grandfather is after 3 to 4 years and i am ready to wait for that wonderful,exciting moment eagerly. Mary Christmas and Happy new year .

I am so happy for you that you have one grandchild now. congratulations. I think i am not old enough to be a grandmother since I am young and unmarried. Definately, one day, I will be grandmother a qualified one.
