How Do We Make Jesus Christ Our Lord, Guardian & Intercessor?

The Quran--which doesn't care to illustrate how Jesus (or Muhammad or Moses etc.) is actually just a personality of G*d rather than a whole `nother entity--tells us (in 6.51) "And warn with it those who fear that they shall be gathered to their Lord-- there is no guardian for them, nor any intercessor besides Him-- that they may guard (against evil)." That falls perfectly in line with what Jesus says in the Bible---that He is in Father Allah & Father Allah is in Him, that--seeing & obeying Him--we see and obey Father Allah. The Gospel story is just an illustration (maybe it actually happened too) of the lengths to which Father Allah is willing to go to save us. So Jesus Christ (Allah, FSM, whatever the name) is made our Lord, Guardian & Intercessor when we realize He is! True?

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well in my opinion, we should always do our duty first as it is wisely said that work is worship. If we are very much dedicated honest and truthful towards our work then we are indirectly worshiping our Almighty and are getting more closer to Him. We should never try to enforce our love for the Almighty for all our daily life activities are very keenly observed by Him and so we should be dedicated and hard working in life to make Him our Lord, Guardian and Intercessor. What say?

It's been said that you should work as if working for the Lord.

Hi, Right. Faith and applying it to our daily lives, that what make the power of Christ in our lives. I have seen many who go to church a different man, very devout and going out another person, kicking everything that come in his way. That is not making Christ our lord, guardian and intercessor. You throw your nuts in the fire in spite of his warnings, he will never lift a finger to bail you out if you go after them. Simple as that.

We cannot do anything to make Jesus Christ our Lord. Because we have an original sin nature, we are inherently corrupt and stubborn to the ways of God. It states in the Bible that God knew us even before we were born, and that the length of our days were laid out for us. It also states that Gods sheep (His children) will know His voice. For Jesus Christ to become our Lord, we will have to at some point of our lives, hear Him. Whether it be through a friend, neighbor, radio, etc, we must through someways hear His message and respond. There are many who have heard the message of the Gospel, but never really heard God in the sense that they felt He was speaking to them. Once we hear The Word, The Word then needs to be received and accepted as truth. Sometimes this takes a little longer for others, as they need more time to grasp scriptural concepts. Then, once we study the scripture or listen to the word of God, and come to that place where we realize that there is no denying the truth of Jesus Christ,we can finally come to accept Him as The Way, The Truth, and The Life. The Truth and the Light came into the world, but their deeds were evil, so they rejected the Light. This is the ultimate sadness of the Christian faith. That some reject Christ because of their guilt and shame, because they don't realize his compassionate nature and life fulfilling love. That with Him, there is no need for remaining in our depressing, struggling state of mind. That we can live life to the fullest, everyday. But in a new way, everyday becoming less bound to our sinful nature and more in tune with the life that God wants us to live.

You need to double-space after every 3-or-4 lines, to make it easier to read. And no, I don't think that's how it works. I think I'm agreeing with Islam a little more than this. That No, Jesus doesn't 'save' you; G*d just saves whoever he wants to, & religion is just a distraction while we wait to find out what G*d decides.
