Hi, Mylotters and computer users, my antivirus validity have ended around 1 month ago but I am still using it. I have changed by PC date to I think to previous date and I don’t know this trick works or not. I do not use internet and it’s not an online antivirus that is why I think this trick can work and I would not need to installed new antivirus but I want to remove this antivirus because I think my pc has problems like not updating date and time, cant attach mobiles to pc etc that is why I want to uninstall current antivirus (NPAV) not want to install new for better performance and to solve my problems.
I am confused in should I download free antivirus software like Avast /AVG or should I buy reputed antivirus like QuickHeal, Norton, etc?
I think free antiviruses do not perform efficiently and that is why I should go with good antivirus software like QuickHeal or Kaspersky. There is another thought in mind whether should I buy it or should I download a crack version from torrent or any other site and that would be free as well?
I want to use net on pc and that’s why I think a hacked or crack antivirus can create problem for me but I think it can’t because I am already using two software which are cracked but I haven’t get any problem yet.
Currently my antivirus is showing pc is infected and I think because it’s not working now or may because I haven’t scan pc from months. Antivirus used to perform a scan on a start-up but it does not happen now.
Questions
If I ask which Free/paid antivirus should I use, which would be your recommendation and why?
Why free antivirus like Avast or AVG should/not be used? Is there any problem in them?
What are other antiviruses which are in not in mind right now and I should think about them?

If you are using a genuine Microsoft Windows OS you can directly avail Microsoft's antivirus for free. Without any expiration. It is best to use Microsoft antivirus than with other third parties antivirus software in a Microsoft Windows OS.

Why have two antivirus on one Windows OS? Its a waste of computer memory and processing. Just stick to one, specifically just use Microsoft Security Essential from the same company (Microsoft) who created Windows OS.

Microsoft Security Essential is good antivirus but I do not think its that much popular or famous as Avast or AVG. i don't know why though it belong to company like Microsoft?
It would be good to use it with Avast or any other antivirus because I guess we can use Microsoft Security Essential with other antivirus as well but not two other antiviruses like Avast and AVG at a time.

Yes, you are right why waste memory in antivirus when one antivirus is enough. i have not use Microsoft Security Essential yet that is why I do not know about it much.
your point is right, Microsoft Security Essential would be good antivirus because it belongs to same company who has created Windows OS but my point was why it is not famous like Avast or AVG?

Well, i would not recommend free anti virus since most free stuff have their loss. I would suggest you to buy and use the kaspersky antivirus since i've been using it for so long and my PC doesn't face any problem with it nowadays. As for why AVG and Avira is not recommended is because they are famous and makes people think they are safe by just using the free version, but that is very wrong and they are not actually bad, just there's loophole where most hackers would know about.

The paid one are not very costly you get from Rs.450 to Rs.750 for year.
I always prefer paid one as give more satisfaction as my system is protected.
Go to homeshop 18, flipkart.com you get paid anti virus at reasonable prices.

paid antivirus are not very much costly but if we are basic home users and do not need do important or commercial work at our computer then a basic antivirus would be good choice. and i think Avast does do that. i am using Avast now, and till now I have not face any problem lets see will I buy any antivirus or not. lolzzzzzzzzzz.

Wow, you shouldn't have gone one second without anti-virus. Download Avast and add a secondary antivirus that does not interfere. Run the boot time scan from avast first then the other.

I guess running or having two antivieus at a time in pc would be problematic because these are thw softwares which deals wirj program files and that is why we should avoid two same softwares who acess and work with system files or operating system.
which secondary antivirus you would recommend?

Hi; Vidyaprakash ji. I have also installed Avast in pc and it is really a good antivirus but I am going to buy a paid anrivirus soon but before that I am going to format pc because it has problem and after formatring it would be fast.
I do not have internet connection ar home and I use Mylot on mobile or sometime in cyber cafe thats why I am not much active nowadays.
I have seen on many sites most of the people recommend Avast over AVG that is why downloaded offline inataller from my mobile and installed Avast .
