A phrase in my Facebook

"Nothing has meaning except the meaning you give it"
This phrase has been echoing in my mind as if reminding me that if there is negative interpretation that comes to my mind, it is me who injected it and not anyone else. Accountability is the key then to staying positive.
To my surprise, there are people who read statuses of other people taking it against themselves. Accussing and judging people, in the end, of writing such and such without them realizing that the person who wrote it has not even think of them!
You see, facebook is a personal thing. That is why it says 'whats on your mind' not 'what others will say about your thoughts'. In my case, i write about insights that i get on my experience, just like this. I reiterate, MY experience.
So while some may not like what i write, I have no apologies to make.

Yes maybe you are not obliged to apologize but you can't also stop other people from commenting. Facebook is a personal thing yes but when we post what's on our mind it is open to what others will say about our thoughts too, because that's how it is on facebook. It is your experience made public so accept what reaction it generates.

common sense, right? it's just like being a celebrity or public figure. don't be surprised by all kinds of reactions.

so well said. we put color to every thing we see. we put meaning to things even if there is no meaning at all. My definition might not be your definition, because we are two individuals, who had different experiences and situations. A good to you may be a bad to me due to lack of my information about the knowledge. A soft bed for me could be a hard bed for you because we have different levels of "tiredness and sleepiness". so many things to put into analogy. To each is his own, we carry our own torches and no other brings it for us. We are responsible for our actions because the consequence will be directly hit us and not others. We write our own song, and we fulfill our own dreams. Moreover, you have different personality and me too. We design our own path.

Yes, that's right bali, we interpret different words and a word may have different meaning on it. Like if I say... "Such a life" .. it could be in a tone of disappointment, because I am so disappointed at something.. "Such a life"... it could be a tone of excitement for an exciting event or news that i heard. It could be. ."Such a life" for sadness.. for loss of something.
Personal Note:
Are people who believe in the existence of devil believe in God also? Because the people who believe in God believe in Devils?

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i appreciate this phrase and i think u should keep posting whatever u have in your mind without caring about what others would comment and reply back to your posts.
I think we all have rights to express our views and if u find anything derogatory to your posts then u can answer back strongly to them and prove your point. I get many absurd responses to my posts but i hardly pay any heed to it.
What say?
