He was the innocent and unblemished lamb of God who was to be the last "sin offering".
Crucifixion, as well as the torture before it, was at that time, as is now, just about the worst cruelty one could endure. He showed that nothing could stop the will of God.

There was nobody more pure than Him,more innocent,more loving,more gentle than Him.No doubt that He was the Son of the Living GOD the most high.

How can you say that? Argue what you want about is divinity or even his significance, but you cannot deny his existence. The evidence is there, everywhere, that Jesus, the man, walked on earth.
