Ignored Discussions

Friends,
There are a lot of discussions posted here already. In fact, when I think of a discussion to begin with and search for the discussions search bar, it had been discussed. So what I have in mind... throw in the trash can and move on to commenting some discussions again. As I thought of a good discussion again... search for duplication... already taken.. whaaaat shall I have for discussion. How can I earn? (in a panic mode effect) ... ok going on.. compose myself and start commenting again. (in my mind I have to earn)
However, I observed that there are lots of best topics here (because I know all are good topics), and I feel that in this particular topic many users will benefit from it. If not personally experienced at least additional knowledge to dwell on and can be used in the future.
An example is a discussion about children with autism (as inspired by one of the user's discussions here yesterday). Very few contributed to it resulting to a very few interaction when in fact it is a very informative discussion. (I think even the author left the discussion already, I hope not such a good topic friend don't just leave if you left please come back) At least if you are not aware of it just be curious to know what is it? someday you will have a child of your own or you will know a kid that could manifest some symptoms. At least you have the idea of what is it and how is it? It is just an example, there are lots of good discussions that die just a natural death. LOL
My point is, since most of us are targeting to get good earnings a day (Admit or not) why not ask anything about the discussion or make some clarifications on what the hell is the author is talking about? Win-Win situation.. (You earn additional cents in your earning plus you added additional knowledge in your brain)
I don't think clarifications or questions about the topic is violating any rule or guidelines. We are humans and our intellect is limited, it is ok to ask if you don't know. On the hand, if you know something about it, at least give your views about it. You have given a great contribution or maybe a help to enlighten and widen the knowledge of other users and (again another cents on your earning.) Another WIN WIN situation.

So at the end of the day, you will see that you have gained knowledge on specific topic or you have contributed to the knowledge of others and at the same time you have gained money for your paypal.
I just feel such a waste of good relevant topic if a BEST DISCUSSION, just die a natural death and after a day the BEST DISCUSSION will just be piled and buried in the mylot archive database, when everybody should have taken the chance to gain and share knowledge on it.

But to "gain and share knowledge" the desire to do so must be present. In this case and many others, apparently, it was not. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. I understand your thirst for knowledge and your propensity for the sharing of knowledge. But people will go to where they are drawn. You can't change that, although it's admirable of you to try. I wonder how many responses this will receive. Will people feel they are being told to do something that they are not bound by rules to do? I take it as a good suggestion. Will I follow it? Will anyone? You gave it your best shot Mavic. Good discussion, too.

I find that there are discussions with no responses that have the potential of being knowledgeable discussions. The trouble is some of them are maybe country specific and some require medical knowledge. Still maybe if someone answers them, it might help. It also depends on what time one has. I have a lot of trouble answering my friends's discussions let alone a zero response discussion. I did try a few times though.

Sometimes I just do not know what to write and often becauseI have the foot in mouth disease, and often forget to put those two words that make it more clear, I figure that the word such as not or or will magically appear on the page by my just thinking of it. I also do to like to write discussions just to get the words on the paper. And I would help others in answering their discussions. Oh by the way, I hope you do not think I am a selfish uncaring person. It is just that I am more afraid of putting something down that might make others take it the wrong way.
However I feel that some discussions should never get ignored and wish I had more time to answer at least some of them.

So now, if they or we don't then don't. i simply surrender to the idea of making mylot more informative site. something that could be use for really self expression. You are not uncaring person.. it is okay with me now.

it has to be interesting and not a chance of being deleted or no one comment, responds, whatever the word is besides most are given a second chance by being in the "discussions with no response" section. giving people that havent found anything to respond to yet a chance to find it. is this what you mean? you are not getting responses?

Yes, I know this. i don't go to discussion that would likely to be deleted. I have commented on several discussions already and it was just deleted after a day. What I want to say is Discussion that is good to be discussed on about. I say this, you say that.. the author say.. here..I say there. Exchange of thoughts and ideas.

Its a learning ball. I think of it as a game. I hold the ball, give what I have and send the ball to someone else. They either comment, or make a new post, then send the ball to someone else. The cycle goes and goes on. Some drop the ball, it sits for while, and then someone else come by starts the cycle up again.
All in all we learn from each other.

wow I like this one.. yes, this is how it is supposed to be here. But everybody wants to have their own balls. 1 or 2 will pick up the ball on the floor and then again give to someone else and when it drops it sits. Most often time no one picks the ball on the floor. nice day to you i like the ball learning.

I would rather think of having the enjoyment on what I am doing on this site, rather than thinking about how to earn here. After all, this is a discussion site and our earnings are just a reflection of our incentives and participation's to this site.
You can always pick discussions out of the blue, and try to make it a point that you are not copying contents from other myLotter’s. It’s a good way also to put on a discussion that you really know so that when people will come and reply to your discussion. You can interact with them replying back and forth.

Oh yeah I agree heay. welcome to my back. Thanks for your response. I have no problem with the discussions like what I said in my statement. what troubles me are the discussions that don't even retain specially if the discussion is very informative and educational. but I thought.. oh well, it is okay sad that some discussions are just ignored and most users dwell on love and relationship and cat issues... I want to uplift the quality of Mylot as much as possible, but I am totally solved to my realization that.. I am no one to be so "whatever" here and fighting over "whatever" matter is totally just a waste of energy and time. So, I just respond to all discussions as possible as i can and I qualitative as I can. Yes I am after the earning. I am here to earn a little.

@Mavic123456 I have found it funny how some discussions don't get many responses even though it looks very interesting but I guess it's just one of those things where what seems interesting to some, just aren't interesting to others.
It does bother me a little when very little interact on such a good post though.

Before the discussions were really amazing, some were really well thought of, now it is just a matter of submitting a discussion.
r
Anyway now I am more forgiving and forgetting. I don't mind anymore. It is just such a waste that's in my mind.

@VivaLaDani13 Yes, it is the trend here now. if the discussion is long no one will pay attention. so the shorter the better. LOL
but there are some discussions that are really interesting.

@Mavic123456 I have notice some users who post random questions, statements or stories but I do know that it's usually because they aren't familiar with how to work MyLot. But otherwise I do agree with you because I had known a couple of now ex MyLotters who were pumping out so many not thought out posts just for the sake of earning.
But other than that there are a lot of interesting discussions that keep people interested. Which is good.

For some strange sad reason, many here think thatthey must start new topics every day in order to earn here. This means that we end up with a load of rubbish topics and only a few really interesting great quality discussions.
This month I am going to spend a lot of time commenting back to those who responded on tiopics where the OP never came back and commented to them. Maybe some of them will be really old ones and will have a new lease of life
There are also many laxy Lotters here who can't be bothered to read through the responses and comments before posting their own and never get past page one either. They don't seem to realise that the6y can leave a comment on any of the responses and that they will earn for doing that too.
There are way too many topics buried here and lost forever but over time we can find them and ressurect them

Ms. Diana
Thanks Ms Diana... how to resurrect buried topics ms. diana? I am glad you dropped by in this discussion and you understood my point.
Mr. Grinch
Hmmmm.... I don't know who you are Mr. Grinch. but somehow you admitted something about yourself. I am just a little girl here in the mylot. I am just a 3-week old baby girl. No one told anything about Mr. Grinch, you just admitted...
Ms. Diana and Mr. Grinch: Hmmm.. such a cute combination.

Yes, you can be honest to ask the author what he/she meant by what his/her discussion is all about. Remember that, your type your earn and my type my earn. As one of my friends here told. I am sure you know how to do it. Keep it up.

hi mavic do you realize just how many discussions there are here? i do try to respond to all which I find interesting and to which I can make some sort
of intelligent response. But in spite of having most all day every day
I do have a few other things to do. I ha ve responded to several discussions on autism and have found good knowledge and a lot of misinformation too. i just do
not swallow every thing I read on the net.Just because its is on the net does 'not necessarily mean it is true. I like t o research medical issues to be sure what I am reading is good information. Then too at times I am not up to reading about illness myself having had my own share of the same. I guess what I am saying is you can tell people to respond to something but if they are n t interested they will not listen. After all we are all free here to respond or not respond to
whatever we wish to resond to.

Yes, I know that Aunt Hatley, i was just somehow disoriented about some things. but I can adapt. I can try to answer the dumbest discussion too, for the sake of my participation here in mylot. Disoriented for I see that more and more discussions are not productive enough. (no offense meant I just want to share my thoughts). I just thought this could be a good venue to disseminate information on a lot of issues and concerns. Such a waste of a good site, where people are encouraged to discuss by compensation. I am maybe too idealistic since I am new, to whatever I can share and i can get. But I am perfectly okay now, I realized that why will I take the torch of others, when I have my own torch to carry. I am not forcing anyone to respond. Like what you have said, I am totally aware that we have the free will to go to the different discussions we would like to. Like what I kept on telling here that I don't respond to other discussions too specially if I will not gain anything from it.
It is not about the "autism discussion" this was just an example. There were lots actually... Good morning Auth Hatley...

I read through the various responses and comments and notice that no one has clarified your doubt about seeking clarifications. In fact myLot encourages it.
http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx
Make sure you ask for clarifications on discussion topics or responses when necessary or help other users to get their point across if they are not able. We like to think of ourselves as one big happy family.
Here the idiom, 'One man's meat is another man's poison' can be applied effectively as what you consider as a meaty topic others may not.

I don't know who it was that was hungry - I am confused - I do not want to go back and check but I think you were as you have eaten up some words here:
"but then upon deep thinking "
but upon deep thinking what?

Hi friend, some times good topics don't get noticed by others due to various reasons, if mylotters find this kind of topics using the search option and they are interested with it, surely they will place their reply. I don't have any ignored topics as well as not interested in ignoring topics. always i will give reply to my topics whichever impress me and do search before creating the topics to avoid duplication

Me too, I am ignoring some topics, I will not deny that. but when I comment, I try to make my comment a comment which the author or another user to respond. so when another person or the author respond, it gave him/her the opportunity to gain more earning and learning, too.
