I afraid to respond discussion create by person with rating more than 500 and star reputation above than 8. Most of them have very good quality english. I feel i am small compare to them. Sometime i not understand with their discussion because they use high level english. That why i like to respond discussion create by person with rating below than 500 and star reputation below than 8 but their discussion always get delete that also make my rating drop down a little. I dont know if can survive in mylot.

Akamaru, my friend, you are a very smart young man. You speak different languages and are also seeking to learn Japanese as well as learning English. This is a very hard language to learn, yet you do well. Everyone here understands you. And as they have said, don't be afraid to ask. There is a rule about criticizing incorrect grammar in mylot. No one is allowed to do this. And I have heard many times from what others have said that after being in mylot for a while their English is better. You are not small. You are learning. There is a big difference. If you are afraid to ask in a discussion, remember what you did when you wanted to know about changing your password? You can always do that again.
About the deleted discussions. They were deleted for violations of the guidelines. You need to make sure when you respond to a discussion that it is not a violation. Many new members don't read the guidelines and FAQs. So they post useless discussions and get deleted. Use the mylot search in discussions to see if it is a duplicate. If the discussion is like a poll type question this also will be deleted. And there are other reasons, too. Or go to your interests and respond to senior members discussions. Don't be afraid. You're young and learning. You're new here. You are respected and no one will criticize you. What is your native language?

Yes, you wasted your time. That's okay. It happens to almost everybody. I just had a response in a discussion that was deleted. It was about typing. Who would think that would be deleted?
Borneo. What an exotic place! That's a fascinating country. I tried to find somewhere to see your language but there isn't much on the internet. I thought if I understood a little of your language I could help you. Borneo has the oldest rainforest in the world. And caves with thousands of bats. How interesting. Here, people put a bat house in their yards so the bats will come. Because they eat all the bugs, mosquitoes that bother us at night. Not everybody has a bat house. Many people are afraid of bats. I like them. They keep the bug population down.
Keep busy, keep responding to topics of your interests. Relax. Enjoy yourself.

I have always had great admiration for those who do not have English as their first language but nevertheless they come here and join in with the discussions!
The more that you stay here and join in then the more friends you will make and the sooner you will become more confident with your English.
Please don't be shy and please don't think that anyone is going to criticise you either. Many of the users with much higher numbers than yours, even though they use English every day, make more mistakes than you ever will!
Welcome aboard and please have fun here!

Don't be as one of the great advantages of MyLot is that it is a place to learn and share skills etc so take it day by day and just enjoy the time spent here. You can and will survive here if you have fun firstly and then focus on income as a bonus.
Have a great weekend,

You shouldn't be afraid to respond because the way that you learn is by practicing. The fact that you have the courage to respond is even better, as you learn more you will surely improve. Practice makes perfect. One a random side not I like you profile picture is it of an Asian celebrity because it looks familiar to me.

Hi akamaru!
I don't think the rating or the number would be a reason for you not to respond to any discussion. I will not bite you promise, You see I'm an angel . he he.
Just remember we are created equal and this reason alone should not make you think you are smaller or whatever you may call it. We are friends remember?
Have a nice day!

I think you do very well! And your rank is as good as mine, even though I have almost 9000 posts. But I've been here for seven years and that's why I have almost (9000) times I've posted, and most of them were responses. Hope you stick around! And best of luck!

Hey man! Try not to be discouraged focusing on your flaws. Every one has their own flaw. It's definitely normal. This is an international site and many would understand that not all are using English as their mother tongue. Most of us just actually uses English as their second language. If you think you're not that good in English, then take that as a challenge not as a hurdle. THINK POSITIVE!!! You'll learn a lot by practicing the language on every discussion. God bless!

I am impressed with your honesty. Many people would be afraid to to say they feel uncomfortable with English.
The fact is many people only know one language..and so you are ahead of them in learning another language.
I admire you and congratulate you in trying to learn English. From what I see you are able to communicate and if you don't understand something ask that it be reworded. Remember there are probably others here who feel as you do but are afraid to say it. So if you ask something..there are probably others who want to know the answer too.
Good for you for sharing your feelings and for wanting to improve your English!!

Hi friend, why are you thinking in this sort? mylot is common to every one and you can reply to any post here. Don't worry about your English, it is the good platform to improve your language. Some persons who are having highest ratings also not from English native, so don't worry about mylot activities, surely you will survive with the site and participate with the topics whichever impress you

Don't worry about it. Higher numbers just mean that they have been on the site longer. You are climbing up there yourself!
Just relax, read through posts from your interests, and post your opinion or response to them. Say whatever comes to your mind.
If you use the site in this way, I think that your rating will go up and you will find yourself posting more naturally. People on this site are tolerant of English mistakes, but not with people who are just posting for the sake of posting.
Hope to see you around on here!

Nobody is perfect! And even if you think that you are not as good as some of the members here, you will never be discriminated. Although you may not be that of an expert in the English language, people here do understand you. And you are not the only one who has the same issues.
It's okay. You'll get to increase your chances of being good in the language as long as you are eager to learn and will ask a few help from friends.

I can survive here although English is not my native language and my English is not good, the last time I had English lesson was at school but after graduated from school we don't have English lesson anymore so I'm here to practice English and make friends with people from other countries.
I can survive here and have a lot of fun with other members, so I'm sure you can survive too. Don't be afraid of the ratings and reputations, don't restrict yourself from posting and responding, when you respond to a discussion don't look at the ratings or the reputations but look at discussion which you can relate yourself with.
You see many English native speakers welcoming non native speakers in this site and they appreciate our effort to participate in here although English is not our first language. I think it is the same when foreigner comes to our country and they try to communicate to us using our native language, we feel happy and appreciate their effort, right? We can survive here and we can learn together to improve our English.
