I am very much addicted to drinking soft drinks everyday.
It is such a thing which i cannot resist drinking. I even buy larger bottles of Thumbs up or Coke and keep them in my home fridge, to which my mom gets angry on me. She tells me these arent good all the time! But I dont listen to her on that topic :D :D
Im totally aware that soft drinks contain caffeine which is actually not good, also soft drinks contain fat. But I guess, consuming 200 ml of Thumbs up per day is not going to affect my health. Or is it?
Im very much keen to read responses on this topic..
Thanks!

I am like you where I can drink at least a 2 liter of pop a day besides drinking more at work. I have heard that it is bad for you and I am trying to stop drinking pop and try to drink more water or caffeine free drinks but I have not been very successful at that. I need my caffeine in the morning but I still am tired after drinking some so I am not sure why. I will try in the future to drink more water and see if that helps.

For me water is the best to quench my thirst, soft drinks just aggravate my thirst so
I only drinks sodas or soft drinks once in a while.
Sodas is full of sugar that is bad to everyone's health. Not only are they high in calories in themselves, but soft drinks don't make us feel full the way food does; we keep consuming them and end up with a higher kilojoule intake overall. Over the past 20 years, we've added between 150 calories and 300 calories to our daily diet - and half of this additional amount is from soft drinks. About 20 per cent of our total energy intake now comes from beverages.
That's a big reason why, there are more and more men and women who are overweight or obese now.
Have a nice day.
Ciao!

hi cutie yes too m uch soda with all the fast food and one day yo u will see pounds aded and soon you will hear your doctor tgell you you filed the diabetes test. you have type 2 diabetes you must lose some weight and I have to p;ut you on Metformim and if that does not work Insulin. now does anyhone really want to go through that? Had I known what I know now I know I would not have become a diabetic.too much fat on yo u slowes down the insulin that is trying to push the s uga r into your muscle cells where it is needed and will instead drop it in your blood where it does not belong.

I also grew up loving Coke. I love drinking them when I eat pizza, burgers and pasta. But as I grew older, I have tried to lessen my intake of softdrinks as I am now aware that it really doesn't do any good to our body except to give us a refreshing feeling in a hot day.

wow yes I have read that its really caustic and too all that sugar can eventually alolne with fast foods lead to type 2 diaberes with too many pounds and the fat impeding the insulin in its job of ushering sugar into our muscle cells where it is n eeded and leaves it in our blood where it does not belong.

Like you, I very much like my soda. I sometimes down 32 ounces or more a day. That's equivalent to about 946ml. I know all of the below is associated with the amount of soda you intake, so I really don't know what effect 200ml would have (that's about 8 of our ounces). But it would seem any amount on a regular basis would have these problems potentially.
However, these are some of the things that are associated with drinking soda:
asthma problems
dissolves tooth enamel
kidney issues
heart disease
reproductive issues
sugar overload
osteoporosis
obesity
increased risk of diabetes
nutritional depletion

as a type two diabetic I know well the dangers of gobbling down h uge amounts of cokes and fast f oods. then you get middle age spread and one day yyourr doctor tells you did you know you have diabetes type 2? so the moral of our responses are cut it down or out as increased obesity will in itself most definitely lead
ri ht to type 2 diabetes.

Mineral water is a very healthy drink. I think pure fruit drinks like orange, apple or grapefruit are healthy but they do have fruit sugar inside them. Cola and lemonade have unhealthy sugar or sweet additives. They can root the teeth so they are not such healthy drinks. Many soft drinks including cola have caffeine in which is not at all healthy. I like to drink 100 percent fruit juice like grapefruit juice or cranberry juice. I think a 200ml glass of real fruit juice has Vitamin C in it.

Of course the soft drinks have more disadvantages than the advantages. It is not a healthy drink. But I also like to drink it since it tastes sweet. Especially I like to drink the cold soft drink in hot summer. That feels so cool. The soft drinks seem to have some bad effects such as it may make you get more weights, lose the calcium etc. So if you can't get rid of it, at least try to drink it less.

I love Soft drinks specially Coke. I was drinking Coke for almost every day. However, I developed gastritis due to this. It is very painful and it is really hard to go to work when I am suffering from this. Since then, I drink soft drinks just once a week or once a month I guess.

Yeah drinking a lot of pop isn't healthy for us. It does have a lot of sugar, and high fructose corn syrup. As well as it has a lot of calories if we drink more than one glass a day. I though love pop and can't resist it. I have at least two glasses a day. For me it's a treat as well I love the taste.

Hey there! Yes epically, people know its bad for health because of all the chemical compositions and product it produces once being broken down inside the body which is formaldehyde for example. But still you wonder why a lot people are still enjoying it. Basically, you need some sugars too to give energy. Yeah I know it's not best or even good form to consider one. But sometimes taking just a bit of it doesn't really hurt much. For me, soft drinks (coke) helps me when my headache or migraine is just starting. So long it's not too much it doesn't hurt anyway.

Hi GandharD, thank for sharing this topic. Well, soft drinks are not the good if you know how to limit yourself by drinking the same. On your case, a possibility of bad result will be gained by your health due to your frequent drinking, imagine 200ml per day, Oh my God i can't imagine how you can be addicted as that. I suggest to drink more water instead as in lieu of soft drinks. Water therapy is the best alternative recourse in surpassing addiction of soft drinks. Make it a habit to drink more water every time you are thirsty, and keep yourself prohibited all the time in drinking soft drinks. Good luck to you!

unlike you, I donot drink soft drink. I only drink boiled water everyday and I think it is good for my health. If you over drink soft drinks, it will definatelt affect your health since there are lots of caffeine in it. proper soft drink is OK.

hi GandhardD listen to your nom. you are missing her point they are bad for you because they have only sugar flavor and fizz water no real nutrition. way way too much sugar. Just keep guzzling all that sugar and one day you will find you are a type two diabetic so how do yo like that scenario? really they have way too much sugar and no real nutrition . why not drink real fruit juice or have a v8 and get more veggies for yourself. no truly you m om is really right.
