A New York City Cop came across a homeless man sitting on the sidewalk in front of a shoe store. The homeless man had no shoes on and it is cold in New York right now. The cop went into the store and brought the man a pair of winter boots out of his own money. The homeless man was so happy and thankful. This is such a touching story for the Christmas holidays. What a good man to do such a kind thing if only more people in the world would do the same for others who are down and out on their luck, the world would be a even more beautiful place to live.

It was a very nice thing for him to do. There are not many people out there that would do the same. I do try to help others when I can.

The act of being kind to another person is the best thing you can do as a human being. This cop did a wonderful thing and God will definitely bless him for his act of kindness and generosity.

I read this news and I am moved to it. This policeman is so kind to buy a pair of shoes for a homeless man. I am glad that someone took photos for it so that his behavior is known. He may not care about it but it means a lot for us. I hope there are more kind people like him in the world.

If everyone performed one act of kindness or a pay it forward act everyday the world would truly be in a better place.

I did see a photograph of this cop and it really made me feel good that he did this. It was a kind compassionate action and I am glad that it was recognised publicly. We should hear about more stories like this instead of just gloom and doom. Like you, I wish that we would live better with each other and make our world safer and happier .for each other

There is so much hatred against so many if everyone did an act of kindness once a day it would make the world a better place for all.

I saw it in the news last night. What a generous act that policeman to that homeless man. Great example that we could help other people in need even in simple way that we can. He could be an example that people should help others without thinking of anything in return or with telling it to the whole wide world that they help. Helping other people in simple ways is a great start to make this world a better place to live in.

Yes I have seen that on the news and on the internet too. The officer has had alot of good instilled in him, it was also brought up that some people have this genuine generosity in them and others do not. I would hope that it could be learned though, either way and more people who can give do this. It is a good thing to help someone homeless with no shoes, he probably needed more than that but it is a good start. I hope the homeless man gets his life back on track one day. In this day and age no one should be homeless on the streets anymore. I realize there has to be alot of compassion for people when someone does such a good deed, perhaps the cop couldn't sleep at night knowing he has seen a man without shoes in the cold. I couldn't blame him. I wish more of us could be that way.

I agree with you that if there were more people that were to perform these kinds of random acts of kindness, the world that we live in would be a much more beautiful place to live.
I haven't been able to perform a random act of kindness in person this year, but I have been donating a lot of things that we no longer need at our home so that people that are not as lucky as we are will be able to have a magical Christmas season.

It does seem like the Christmas Season tends to bring the best out in most people. I know that I feel more giving during this season than I do at other times of the year. I do think that part of it could be the weather change on top of the giving season.

This is one of the nicest things I have heard in a while. That is so nice. I wish there were more people in the world that do this also. The world would be much nicer if people would pay it forward when someone helps them... =)
