Your Big Step to the Real World..?

Within each passing minute, my transition from a High school student to become an adult is getting closer. Not that I'm counting, though this year (for me) has gone at an exponential rate time-wise to the point where I could see day and night transition before my very eyes. I'm very nervous going into college, because of all the factors that actually go into it aside from the stuff people face in High school. I realize that people simply start doing malicious things in that transition, and I'm afraid that I'll be sucked into that mess, unable to get out. Not only that, but also just life in general. What happens after college? Just get a job, then work on that job for the rest of your life? I might be thinking too hard on my future, though I want to know. Is this how most people go after graduating High school given that they have the academic prerequisites to get into a higher level of education?

You have to survive. If you don't want to grow- and/or hunt your own food, build your own shelter, generate your own energy & supply your own heat & air-conditioning, that means you need money. So you need to get a job and/or some arrangement in which you receive enough money. You probably want more than 'enough' money, which is why people go to college--- to show that they "qualify" to 'dress appropriate, sit down & shut up, and do the work assigned to them there' (which takes a lot of stamina if you're not 'well-paid enough to afford some fun,' which I am not ... well, not enough fun to balance out 'the workload' ) That is--for now--good excuse as to why I don't get as much money as I feel I should. Because I don't even 'jump through that hoop'---the most-basic (to most people) hoop of 'being presentable.' But to answer your question: Yes, that's what life is. We are all slaves to survival (Agent Smith from The MATRIX Trilogy puts it 'Slaves to Circumstance' as we can't stand to be here unless there's a REASON WHY we're here, and 'for the money' works pretty-well everywhere). As 'staying with one job' a) earns you enough money, b) earns you more money the-longer you work there and -higher your position gets there & c) gains you the tenure required to get retirement-income when you're too old- or too tired-to continue working there, so you 'serve your survival' best by working at one job (going to college only as it qualifies you for bigger income, for better survival.)

Hi Mccreeper, studying and preparing for life is a nice stage. You must profit the best, because when you are adult, you get a lot of commitements, and you´ll find less time for yourself. I think the best thing of being adult is that you can choose the way you want to live. Is time to make decitions being responsive. A good or a bad decition can dry you to the right or to the wrong way. Take the best of this time that you have to raise yourself before you have to raise your kids. I´m happy for you. Blessings mccreeper... dainy

For me it was not a big step. Looking back I think nearly everything stayed the same. As I was still living with my mother (later father) I was taking care of most of the housekeeping, the cleaning, cooking, my younger siblings next to school. After that I became ill, pregnant so I changed taking care of my siblings into taking care of my own children (way more freedom what a relief). Next to taking care of my children I kept on studying (and yes I was a single mom), working (60-80 hours a week outside/as an employee). I doubt my youngest (9 and 7 years old) will ever find a job. So I encourage them to be as creative as possible. So if they end up at home for the rest of their lives they at least have ways to express themselves and keeping themselves busy. For my kids I don't see the need to go each time into a higher level of education. I want them to travel the world, to make gather as much life experiences they can. They are very intelligent, already years ahead of children of their own ages. There is more as being high educated. Many I know never found a job after years of studying. I want my kids to have a life, especially if they are still young. There is no need to safe for later, to make plans for later since there is a big chance there is no later at all. This besides of the fact now is already "later" as well. Society is way too fixed on being high educated. This is seen as the only way to be succesfull. But the fact is it is not. Most famous and rich people been kicked out of school or were even never allowed to visit a certain school. Still they made it, so it's clear other skills are needed. Plus what you consider as being succesfull might be something completely different to someone else. Also if your personality and succes only depends on the kind of job you have, the carreer you make.. who are you if you quit working? Since that moment will be there for most of us.

The best time to think about life after graduation is before graduation. Regardless of what level the student is in college, as long as they do not pass, however, it is an ideal time to think about how to enter the real world. Enough is more than enough time to prepare graduates for the real challenges of life. Here are some tips on how to manage the accounting high school life after graduation: Choosing your career. Thinking back on what you are good aspects and work on it. Apply for a job that appeals to you or related to your niche. Do not depend on the choice of parents or your friends. Do not let someone else control your destiny. Most of all, do not let things just happen. Live the life you want. Taking leads. Define your ideals. Like when you are in school and there is a deadline, in real life you have to set goals to achieve what you want to happen. This time, there was no pressure anymore. You will be tested on how you will organize and manage your wings Anda. Spread goals. That does not mean that you have to travel around the world. It just means that you have to expand and maximize your talents and skills. You can go to other places to look for other opportunities and better. Become stagnant. Spread your wings and terbang.Akan sparingly. Always save a little money every day. You would never know that the amount you have saved will get higher everyday. Being frugal is also the first step to know and manage your finances. This way, you know where you get your money and where it akan.Anda can use the money if you have something you need to buy but out of the budget. Most importantly, you can always use them for emergency. Enjoying the real world. In every little thing you are, start the day with a smile and you'll end up smiling too. In the real world, your success is not measured on how many challenges you have encountered but on how you manage these challenges. It does not count if you always feel satisfied that you have experienced trials. But it counts a lot if you're still smiling in the midst of the difficulties that you have been through. Always remember that a fresh and new day just one day away.
