Their are so many varieties of fish available in market, my understanding, may be you are allergic to one or two types, closely monitor and check which suits you the most and then have those.

delicious fish - ...with mangoes, tomatoes, onions and shrimp paste.
If I were you, I would still eat them. Seriously. When I was a kid, I have an allergy too - with seafoods like shrimp, crabs, and the like. But, oh, they're soooo yummy, I really couldn't resist them. So, I ate - and then, I scratch. And drink some meds for the allergy, put some cream for the itchy skin. It goes with the same story everytime I eat seafoods. But what shall I do when I really love eating them? No one can stop me. And then, allergy quit. That's it! So now, even though how many seafoods I ate, no itchiness or whatsoever. I think you just have to make your body resistant to that allergy by taking in fish every once in a while or better if often. Actually, my dinner for today is fish. With mangoes, tomatoes, onions and shrimp paste.

What is on the right side of that dinner pic? Shrimp Paste? And yes, if the itch is not that severe, you should use creams (not ICE CREAMS) and lotions.

Oh, yes, there's still some fish left. You can have them. But since you can just have them in picture, yes, I'm making you jealous for that. Hope my strategy works on you. Don't drink too much medicine on the suceeding allergic attacks but just use the creams for the itchiness. You know my hands and feet before are peeling, same with my tummy because of that allergy and they're so itchy. Thank goodness I'm a survivor now. I can eat all the seafoods I want.

Dear ifa Isnt that something like asking me NOT to have chocos The doctors have told me many times to stay away from them because of my illness and I always nod saying yes to them... and when I come out of the hospital... I forget all about their sage advices but seriously, fish is better than meat. Yes. And yes, it is tasty. but then if it doesnt go well with your skin and causes itchness... hmmm... that is serious. Allergies mostly are non-curable - at least this is what those doctors tell me. Still, if I can have it with some tablets or syrups to keep the itch away... I will have it. Maybe once a week and in lesser quantity. Also, I would try with various fish food that is available and not stick to just one. maybe there is a specific species of fish which doesnt go well with me.

Hi Sid, Choco is also seducing to eat... I can not resist too if someone offer me and not take it. For this allergie, I always prepare some antihistamin tablet to make me immune from the allergie I just worry that too much antihistamin will cause another serious illness And you...you are auch a naughty boy...keep those choco away from you

Oh, yes, ifa, don't drink too much meds. Just top it off with some cream if it's still tolerable. You're lucky that you only got itch on your skin and not on your throat. Other allergic reactions occur on the throat causing a difficulty in breathing.

This is a medical programme I watch on TV. It is about getting rid of nuts allergy in children. It looks practical and harmless maybe you should try. The medical people in the show fed children who are allergic to nuts tiny amounts of nuts. As soon as the children start showing the allergy, they stop. The next day they fed the children again the same amount until the children stop showing the allergy. The next step the medical people increased the amount (they increased very little at a time) and fed the children. The same process is repeated until the allergy disappears. Kind of what adnileb above has recommended, yes? I believe the body can be conditioned. My 8 yr old daughter has eczema. I try to not limit what she eats. My thinking is if she is grown up and has to limit what she eats, it is pitiful isnt it?

hi momof3kids, i son had 'mild' eczema - when he still a little boy (he's 13 now)... doctor advised us to avoid feeding him dairy food, eggs and seafood... my son not having dairy food - impossible ! he was soooooo in love with milk and cheese, and eggs...... i didnt follow the doctor's advise - i did take caution, watched out for any 'breakouts' etc, but i never really stopped my son from eating whatever he wanted + liked... thank God.. he seemed to have grown out of it... his skin is still 'extra sensitive' than most of us.. sometimes he gets rashes, if he ate the 'wrong' seafood, or extra spice,... we just have to be a bit more careful...

My daughter's eczema seems to be better now that she is 8 years old. I notice some drying of her skin at the back of her knees when she is only 6 months old. It got worse after that and we were desperate to ease her of her itching. I do not like to apply steroid that the doctor recommends as it says the ointment will thin her skin. We are applying something else but there is no medical connection to this ointment so we just have to hope and pray that she gets better in future. So far I try not to limit what she eats. She also loves milk, cheese and eggs. I also try to be more observant in her body reactions to what she eats. Thank you for your response. It gives me much encouragement.
