Fulham's signing of Dmitir Berbatov could prove to be one of the snips of the season. However, he can't do everything on his own for Fulham -as we saw yesterday against Spurs. With the departure of Dempsey and Dembele to yesterday's opponents the Cottagers are still a little compromised. It has been suggested that Berbie needs a tall strike partner to act as a foil. Darren Bent has been mentioned. Do you think he would be a good buy for Martin Jol?

I can not see Darren Bent classed as a tall strike partner, he is a bit on the small side. At the moment there are plenty of clubs that tend to play with one up front and the midfield supporting them.

I believe Bent is 5'11 -so just short of 6 foot. I do believe that Jol is interested in him. However, I am not sure if it would be the answer. Berbatov is the standout class act in an otherwise ordinary Fulham side but he can't do it all by himself.

I think a hard working Bent could be a good foil for the crafty Berbatov. Also Bent has a record of scoring goals for any club he has played for. So I think yes, he could be one of the buys that Martin Jol can look to buy in the transfer window.
Cheers!
