I've been boxing for a while and it's starting to bore me so I tried asking around and came up with this up and coming fighting system called Keysi Fighting Method. Keysi Fighting Method or KFM originated from the streets of Spain since the 1950's and has gone mainstream just around 2000's. The Defense KFM's defense is called Pensador, or The Thinking Man. It's a 360-degree defense that assumes that there is more than one opponent. If you look at the picture I attached, you'll see that the person on the right is doing the Pensador defense as he protects himself from the other guy's strike, which is called Martillo, or The Hammer. The Offense This brings us to the offensive side of the fighting system. KFM uses punches, much like boxing, but in a slightly different manner. Since you'll be fighting most of the time on a Pensador stance, your strikes will coming from the top of your head. To transmit a lot of force from a strike, there should be considerable amount of rotation from your knees and abdominal section. KFM also uses elbows for close-quarters combat. In addition to the traditional boxing punches, you'll also be taught how to use another strike I've mentioned earlier -- Martillo or The Hammer. This strike makes sense since your strikes will be coming from above the shoulder so you can easily exert more force doing it. I can blabber about this more but I'd rather hear your opinion about it. What do you think about this fighting style? By the way, this was used in all three Batman movies by Christopher Nolan. This was Batman's main fighting style.

I have seen a couple of videos about this Keysi Fighting Method and it looks interesting and can come in handy if in any case you're assaulted in the street. It is more realistic compared to other form of martial arts.

That's exactly how I thought it is. Although considering the defense system, your core is open for striking because KFM's defense puts very much importance to your head. It's true that you can get knocked out when you get hit in the jaw, but it's also fatal getting hit with the right amount of force right in the middle of your rib cage. I'm sure they have a work around on this. I can't wait til this system becomes available here in my country.

It was interesting to me. I personally have not been involved with boxing ever in my life. but I see there are so many nice things you can learn from boxing to keep and protect the most important. I'm glad that there are people who engage in sports because it speaks well for them, they will have the courage and everything. continued so now and maybe you will learn many different names martial arts and boxing everything by force. nice day!

I'm not really trying to know the names of the fighting system. If possible, I'd like to learn it. Thanks for sharing.
