hate to wait

Yes, specially if they did not tell you that it will take time for your order to be prepared and if you are willing to wait for such time. but usually the longest time is 15mins. not an hour, you could have cancelled your order and transfer to another restaurant

Sometimes, there have been some commotions on the pantry or the kitchen crew resulting that your order had been delayed. You can always put commentary or ask the manager about their service so that next time, they will fix the problem of their service.

I believe you could do a lot more justice if you could give out the name of this restaurant and address, so that people will be warned of their notoriety and atrocious service. I can understand and accept if the place is overcrowded with customers and waiting is inevitable. Even so, the establishment should be attentive and be thoughtful to be generous with some waiting titbits and refreshments for their long waiting hungry customers. It is this reason that makes me decide on an eating place because good food always attract crowds. The disadvantage of course would be the need to wait for the food to be served.

That is really poor service. One hour of waiting? Even if the food is good, I will not wait that long. Whenever I get poor service, I would always get the attention of the Manager or Supervisor. Every now and then, when I call their attention, I would get some freebies. Be nice though when making a complaint since you don't want the backroom do something not nice with your food or your freebie.

Same thing happened to me yesterday dinner in a restaurant. We are waiting for one hour. Atlast we can't control our hungry we went directly shop manager and got food after a long fight.

I have also experienced that on a restaurant, me and my hubby ordered a meal for us, the waiter said that the meal would take 10 minutes and we agreed to wait for ten minutes, but after ten minutes the food was not served yet, we took patience and wait, but we waited for almost half an hour but still the food is not yet served. so we talk to the manager and said that if our meal will not be served asap we will just go to another resto. And so the manager says srrysince there were lots of people but still you must not promise the customer if you cannot make it on time right?

I am very impatient when it comes to food, that is why I could never spend hours in the kitchen preparing and cooking a meal, and I would start eating before I had even served up the dinner. One hour to get your order no wonder you were mad, I think most people would have given up and left!

I don't tend to be the kind of person that complains a lot when it takes a while to get my food. However, there are some times that the service at a restaurant is so bad that I have to complain about it. When this has happened to me, I will complain and typically I will end up either getting a discount on my food or I will get the food for free. It doesn't change the fact that I'm hungry and I have to wait on it, but it does make it a little bit easier to deal with.

I understand you, but we don't have any choice, we need to wait. Let's just be calm, we are just troubling ourselves if we get annoyed or what. :)

Oh! That's the worst thing that could happen to anyone. I have also faced such things at times but yes, fortunately I wasn't being made to wait for more than an hour. Once i was made to wait for almost half and hour and after that, Oh man! I couldn't resist and I was all tempered to shout at the waiter. but then, I help myself back and I just never went back to that restaurant again after that day. When we are hungry, we should eat food, else our tempers will no limits and there wouldn't be the most terrible person in this world than us.

Hi friend, sad to hear about this, most of us have no patience and hate waiting for a long time, it is really hard to wait for food if we are in hunger, if we are waiting for our meals in a restaurant it will give more angry to us.

I'm sorry to hear that :( Same here, i really hate waiting.. Whenever my wife says she'll be late on our date or something, i always get mad.. hehe..

me too i hate it if my food is served or it takes time or rather a lot of time before my food will be served but you cant really control what is happening specially when you eat in a place where there is so many costumer so if you wanna avoid that scene why not try eating in a place where only few are the costumer..

The waiter or waitress always said it took not longer to wait your order. but at the end, you at least to wait 30 minutes. so if you feel very hungry next time, please go to the snack bar.

One thing you can do is pin them down, when they say it won't be long, you ask how long, then you look at a clock and if ten more mins. go past the stated time you start to complain. On the other hand I never complain to anyone about food that they are preparing. After all they could put anything extra in your food. This is one reason why I hate to eat out.

hi friend, I agree and you know this especially happens with me when i am damn hungry and need something to eat as fast as possible. But unfortunately i wont get anything that time. I can understand your pain and the situation. I too faced similar situation in some restaurants.

Hey, I just hate waiting, not just in the case of foods, but in everything. For example, some one gives you a time for song practicing, and I go there just on time but find no one there and have to wait, call them and then they will come, how annoying. That was just an example of the many, But I just get annoyed if I have to wait, its not that I can't but when its gets over your head, then it really irritates you.
