Her name is shadow she is looking like a black Wolf. She didn't get her name because she is black the reason she got her name is that she is afraid about her own shadow almost everything scares her off except water she loves to go to the lake and dive . Well that's not the story here I also have two very small dogs and in the winter time when it gets cold they are freezing so I had to buy them coats . Shadow never freeze her firr is long and thick and even in the winter time she jumps in the lake. But now seeing that those little dogs get a coat and she didn't made her real jealous . Every time the little ones get dressed she is pushing them away and want to get dressed too. So yesterday I thought its enough and I took a old sweater of mine cut the arms off and dressed her in it. It was so funny ! She just stud there didn't made any move like she was made out of stone. I called her but she didn't move I thought lets see how long she can stand on one place. After a while she started to move her head very slowly. After a longer time she got tired and in slow motion she went down to the floor lol Well she got over it and I was happy for her she ran around and everything was great before I go to bed I took it off and even I saw that she felt much better with out it. The next morning I needed to dress the little ones again but shadow had to be first so I thought ok she will be fine cause she is over it so I got that sweater and pulled it over her head and she started the same game again she didn't move. I am asking myself how much attention she needs cause she is getting the same like the other, but recently one of my little one was diagnosed with ms and she needs a kind of extra care . I think it is missing attention even that I am all the day home that makes her doing stuff she is even scared off. What do you think?

I wouldn't find it funny. I think she's terrified by the sweater. I remember my previous dog didn't like to be dressed. She used to stay in one place without even blinking when I put her the winter coat. She moved like a robot when she was dressed. I believe your dog does the same thing. The sweater must scare her. I understand she needs attention, but you should show her other kind of attention instead.

I agree totally with you but she doesn't agree with us. By now she got comfy with it and is happy I would not do anything what she don't like I thought maybe one when she wears it she won't like it and stop acting like this but I was wrong. I will watch her a couple more days and when she still wonne be dressed then I know what she gets for Christmas besides a big bone

I think she doesn't need the sweater. If she's a Lab & Chow mix as you say, she must have a very thick coat that keeps her warm. The sweater doesn't let her move as she likes and it may even scare her (you said she's afraid of almost everything). If I were you, I wouldn't stress her again with any piece of clothing. She doesn't want a coat when she sees the small ones dressed. She just find them weird with the coats on, that's why she is pushing them away.

But, if you know she doesn't need the sweater and you see her she's not sure what to do when she's dressed, why do you still want to get her dressed? Maybe you could show her your love in other way.

I have to agree with you that she is the last dog on earth that needs a sweater And I also think that it kind of scares her. But I know my dog she is able to show me what she want! In this case it is not really the coat she want it is that she want to be treated like the little ones after a while wearing it she feels pretty comfy in but first she is not sure what to do.
