Yesterday, we went to metro unfortunately, I was caught by an enforcer and confiscate my driver's license for not following traffic sign. I did not noticed that there is a "no left turn". As the officer explained to me my violation, he keep on asking if it is alright to put it already on the ticket. As far as I remember, I was asked several times which seems he is asking if I am going to bribe him or just issue the ticket. I just said, he will issue a ticket and I will get my license in their office.
Honestly, I was thinking of bribing him with some amounts but I was scared if he was just trying to tease me and when I gave him money, he will caught me for bribing.
Sometimes, even the enforcers are willing to be bribed, better to settle your violations legally to avoid worsen the case. Good that he just issued me the lowest violation in theit list.
Furthermore, I learned from this experience that you must be cautious, read and follow all traffic signs to avoid such incident.
Good day mylotters.

There are also instances that traffic signs are not properly place in a right area where it can be seen clearly. I also had my experience committing traffic violations and I complained that they should put signs in area that is clear to see and not blocked by people passing by.

You are right, some are place intentionally bit hidden and the enforcer will stay there and wait for someone who will not see the sign and violates it. There they will caught those violate and will ask if they can just ask some amount instead of issuing a ticket violation.

Some enforcers are trippers too. Sometimes, they choose you even you don't have any violations on the road. Some will find faults on you and they will get a chance to issue tickets and you are goign to bribe them to avoid any disturbance on your part which is really bad.

Hi asdomencil!
There are times that we committed some violation unintentionally. But still it is a violation so we have to bear whatever consequence it might bring to us. I admire you for doing the right thing.
Have a nice day and take good care always.

Thanks for the admiration. Sometimes, it is still better to settle the violations legally than in illegal ways. There's nothing harm in doing the right way.

I admire you for not bribing the enforcer... some would have just given them 100 php or a higher amount... but i read somewhere that they are no longer allowed to confiscate the driver's license if it does not involve and accident... a ticket will be given and paid on or before the driver's license expires...
Mine was confiscated a few months ago... for beating the red light... then after a few days... i read that this is no longer allowed... i had to pay 300 php... it should have been 500 php... but i asked the office to lower the penalty...

Really? They are not allowed to confiscate driver's licnense? I don't know about it.
Same here, I was given the lowest penalty instead. The enforcer seems that he can be bribed because he asked me several times if I will get the ticket.

I think that what you did was right. Some traffic enforcers would be taking advantage of the situation just to earn them something from it- easy money for them.
I remember my mom being caught one time to for entering a one way street. My mom wasn't really aware of the street sign. So when the officer told her about the violation, my mom got annoyed coz she was clearly innocent of the violation she committed. Then the officer points out to the sign. Boy! Was my mom really pissed off! The sign was place so high up on the post that motorists could barely notice. So it was clearly a sign that was made so high up so that the enforcers could "extort" money from motorists. He was actually telling my mom that if she gives her license she will be bothered with it by having to go to the office to claim it. My mom got irritated even more as the officer was indirectly saying that he'd settle for a bribe. What my mom did was asked for the officer's name and told him to give her a ticket for the violation. Of course, my mom did report that officer as well as on how the signage was posted.

Yes, better to settle it legally than illegal.
I think it was my fault because my wife told me that there is "No left turn" sign on the road but I keep on driving. I did not noticed tha sign because I was chatting with my wife that time anf it is too late to see the sign and realized what she told me.
