Why 9 1/2 month old is as stubborn as a mule!

For some reason, he really likes the dog dish. As soon as he realizes it's down, it becomes an obsession. He will make a bee line for it, no matter how many times I tell him no and move him and or it. After enough repetitions, he even throws a mini tantrum over it!
Anyone else have strong willed babies?

I know how it is my son loves being independent and we still cannot get him to not try and put cds and dvds in the vhs player. Seems like not a big deal but I would hate to not be able to watch one of his (or my) movies because of it and so we just gotta keep removing him from it. I dont know how long your son has been doing it but from some articles and other parents they say that you have to tell a toodler something 2000 times before they remember it. Our son also like the dog dishes at grandmas house. What we have done is shown him it is for the dogs to eat their food we eat at the table and then set him in his chair and give him a snack. That normally alleviates the problem until the next visit.
