I am majoring in law in University. I have to read a lot of cases, understand their content and memorize many words which is necessary for everyone who are to be lawyers. Sometimes I read the cases and acts until six in the morning then only I went to bed. I find what I see get blurry after I read all those things. Sometimes my eyes feel painful too.

If you know that there is a problem with your eyes, you must do something before it gets more serious. Maybe the blurry images you saw was just a result of your eye fatigue but again it may be symptoms of something more dangerous especially if it has been happening a few times. You must make sure that you have a healthy body to keep up with your academic studies.

Manjet, what you could do is to take a break from reading from time to time. I know that you have a lot of reading to do, but after reading for about 30 minutes, you could look up and away from what you are reading and focus on something else that is at a distance. Or you could get up from where you are sitting and take a little walk (even if it would be just down the hall and back) and do a bit of stretching. If you still have some problems, you might buy a pair of reading glasses to help you along especially after you have read for 2 hours or more. If the problems persists, I think you ought to go to an optometrist to see if prescription glasses would be the answer.

I know that studying Law involves a lot of reading from the bit I did.I'm glad I decided not to carry on studying Law and study History instead.I admire the commitment you are putting in to your studies. But you need to get a proper nights sleep not sleeping properely isn't very good for your health.I would imagine that the reason your eyes are blurry is due to lack of sleep but I would probably get an eyetest just to check it's not something more serious.

I admire your enthusiasm for law. I however, would instruct you to exercise moderation in all that you do. It is helpful to have at least 6 hours of sleep daily for your overall health. Eye problems might be due to the lighting of the house and lack of sleep..Please be advised accordingly.

Oh oh, do be careful. That means you have strained your eyes. So, my suggestion is to stop every so often and look out a window. Or close your eyes for a few minutes. There is no point in ruining your eyes when you are trying to get through your schooling. So, it will do your eyes, brain and body a lot of good, if you take small breaks every so often. And I also think, it will help you to become a better lawyer.

this is my scary moment. i always depend on my eyes to see clearly. there are jobs that strain the eyes more often, jobs that require a lot of reading often stress the eyesight. when i was young, i thought of wearing eyeglasses as cool. but now, it is more of a necessity than fashion or coolness.
