We all know that a lot of children start drinking alcohol at a young age. Now-a-days drinking alcohol with such a young age is no big deal, but for adults is really a big deal because it can drive children to be addicted to alcohol.
According to researches, children of alcohol-dependent parents run a higher risk of of developing an alcohol problem compared to other children. And this has to do with 3 Factors, 1. HEREDITY - investigations have shown that there can be a certain hereditary for getting alcohol problems, 2. INFLUENCE OF THE ENVIRONMENT - When a child grows up in an environment in which people drink a lot, he or she can suffer from this as a child and become unhappy. And unhappy childhood can play a role in alcoholism at a later age, and 3. HABITS - if a parent drinks a lot then his or her child can get used to always having or seeing alcohol everywhere and that child can take over that habit of drinking from his or her parents without even thinking about it.

Wow! That's really good for you. So you are saying that it's up to the person since he or she is the one controlling him/herself.

Agreed too GandharD. In order to avoid this addiction, and other addictions, we need a lot of self control.
It is all up to us :)

Its not hereditary, its a choice for me. People do have they own mind and free will to choose things that they want and wanted to do.

The hereditary of addiction is not clearly known. But I would gues there are some genetics. As to the choice of addiction I think that may depend upon culture and availability. I think there are studies going on all the time with reguards to this subject. It may turn out to be that we all have addictions. I would say I am certianly addicted to reading.

i dont think so,even if its hereditary and we tend to inhibit them by natural ways ,there are ways in which you can prevent the addiction and control yourself all the way ideally
