Yeah, because there is a typhoon coming, it is 170-180 kpH, so it is really fast.. Many people are quite scared of it and my parents even bought food already, in case there'll be flood. i am happy about the no classes thing, since we have lots of test and i have a report too, but i am also sad since my pain would be prolonged.. But i will just use this time to prepare myself even more.

i guess you should thank god nothing bad happened to you and your family. try to relax a bit so you can prepare yourself for the exams and reports you have to face after everything goes back to normal.

I can't really say that it is better, the sun is scorching hot, but it rained for a few minutes yesterday, then it was super hot again. The nights had become longer than days though.

Hope the typhoon won't hit hard in our country. I rather have classes than see people suffer.

Well, yeah, i would prefer that too.. Sadly, there is no way to avoid the typhoon and there had been more due to the climate change i guess. Weather is just so unpredictable and even harsher these days.

I do believe this is going to be huge storm because it's a lot bigger than the way it used to be. for now, the only way people should keep themselves from drowning.Or getting hungry is to make sure they are on the high ground and brought their food supplies.

I never experienced this kind of typhoon. I can imagine how happy you are now, having no classes for the typhoon. I am a teacher, and I know my students will get crazy if they can have no classes when it snows or it is raining hard. I hate to admit that I have the same thought as my students. I want to have a rest , too.

I think the teachers definitely should have a break, since they do more work than the students- teaching for 4 hours straight, some even 8 hours daily..

The call it the super typhoon... the strongest on for 2012... i live far from Mindanao... but i am quite scared that it might change direction and hit Luzon... there are no classes... just stay indoors... concentrate on preparing for you report and exams... but also be alert of what might happen... Stay safe...

Hello lady1993, never forget to pray so that you won't have that much of a problem when the storm comes in. always have you food and supplies ready in case of a water and electricity. I am very sure you can prepare yourself for this storm and you will survive this. no doubt climate change and pollution is the cause of this terrible change in climate

Stay safe lady! We're lucky in the UK as we don't get weather events like that, but I can tell they're frightening. But yes, a day off is a bonus!!
