Feeling Calm In Spiritual Places

When I was spending the day in town, I had lunch in a garden that contains a manmade grotto... like the broken amethyst stones they sell in New Age shops. There are a few steps, an a platform, and an altar with Virgin Mary statues and (wishing?) pennies before her. I'm not religious, but do consider myself spiritually respectful... like speaking respectfully to the owner of the garden. It seems like whatever form the Otherness takes, the good side makes a place special no matter what one's creed is.

Hi! I too feel spiritually composed in places like temples, holy places, etc. I do not know why that happens or what is the reason behind such feeling we get, maybe due to the purity of that place or anything else. It is quite mysterious to me.

I am also not a religious person, but then, I am a very much spiritual being. I find calmness in myself when i am in spiritual places. Well, my definition for spiritual calmness means any place which is quiet and sends and fills me with a lot of calmness and positive energy is great . I walk with smile when I am in the gardens and in deserted parks, temples, churches, deserted roads and staying alone in house also gives me immense calmness.
