After the death of Bal Gangadhar Tilak in 1920 A.D. The leadership of national movement passed into the Hands of Mahatma Gandhi.
Gandhiji had no faith in violence or bloodshed. So he led this movement with the help of non-violence.Gandhiji was the most prominent leader.
Non-violent means which was based on five principles.
1. To spin the charaka
2. To remove untouchability.
3. To prohibit taking intoxicating drugs.
4. To establish unity between the Hindus and the Muslims.
5. To consider women equal with men.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i am glad that a personality like Mahatma Gandhi is being shared on this global forum. I think words would fail to describe this dynamic personality. A person who changed the definition of independence, a person who changed the picture of India and a person who gave us the reason to smile forever. He was and would be loved by every one for his non-violence approach. He has created a separate identity for himself that will stay for years and years to come.
