Mobile phones are increasing in demand nowadays. The mobiles which are produced are having the same function as a computer has...Like Note 2 etc...
Some people purchase expensive mobiles, just to show off, or to be in style.. and Just waste time downloading apps, and using that phone.
The Mobile phone was invented only for the sake of communication and messaging. And I prefer to use a simple and sweet phone, which i use only for calling and messaging, rather than those complicated touch screen phones, which waste time.
I am not against these phones, I praise each and every gadget that comes in the market, as I Love Technology..
What do you use your mobile phone for?

It depends on the person who uses the hi tech phone.
If he is a student, he will spend half of his day on the phone, chatting with friends and doing other stuff..
But if same phone is used by an adult who is a businessman or a working individual, he wont waste much time on it and use it wisely.

I have a simple cell phone. My phone is the very first camera phone so it's old but works great. Only use mine for calls, no texting, and taking photos. I don't even have the program that allows my cell to transfer photos to the computer or send to others via email. I'm happy with it since it's basically used for our kids to contact me when I'm not at home. I know plenty of people who love to buy new phones over and over again. It's my personal choice to keep what I have since I can be in touch while away from home and it works like a charm.

I also use a simple phone. Purchasing an expensive phone is just a waste of money for me since I won't be able to utilize all its features. I just use my phone to send messages, for calling and sometimes as an alarm clock. The last time I've bought a latest model phone during that period was way back 2008. I can say that I have save lot of money since mobile phones value drastically drop.

I use the simplest one for talk and text purposes, a camera with 2 megapixels, video, recorder, music, radio, and a flashlight. I don't need high-end gadgets. There are reasons for this: first, they are quickly replaced with better ones. This frustrates me. Don't get me wrong. I don't blame other people for liking smart phones. It's just that I don't need those features they put in there.

I use my mobile mylotting. I just make important calls and send text messages sometimes. I log in in Skype daily to chat with my husband. I sometimes check my Facebook. I usually switch my Facebook messenger to wait for my hubby to send me a message or my friends. My phone is still simple. It's just a qwerty phone that can access internet. I can't watch youtube. I can only view the videos but I can't watch them. But when I bought this, I was able to watch somevideos. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

A year ago, I might had the same mindset as you have now. I don't need some expensive phone like others, they might be waste of money. Actually, when I thought about it, it wasn't at all. There were many useful function that provide extreme convenience if you have a smartphone or iPhone on hand. Sorry to say that, the future is constantly changing. One day, you don't need to have your wallet of credit card with you, all you need just a cell phone to do the work. Now, my friend use his iPhone to pay for his cup of coffee from starbucks. Also, you don't need to deposit your check by driving all the way to the bank. You simply take snapshot on the front and back of your check, then hit "send", your check automatically deposit to your account.

I am not also fond of using hi tech gadgets and I am already contented with my obsolete brands of phone. Why bother? It is still functioning and very handy. Even if it will drop several times it will not be broken. lol. I do love technology also but I am not that kind of person of is very eager to have those kind of latest gadgets. Besides, it is just a luxury and not a necessity.

I have iphone 3gs ... I did not buy this... I got it from a challenge. LOL. I can not afford to have this kind of gadget out from my pocket it was too way beyond my tastes. Yes, my sister challenge me if I will make it work it is mine. I jailbroke it and it was a success, she was testing me actually with knowledge and skills...I did not bring it in the repair shop because it was expensive too and they have no assurance that it is going to work. Hmmm why take double risks. So I did it myself.
Uses of My phone.
1. While waiting for someone to meet, I used it to play games, or surf net (if it wifi is available), or take some notes that come in my mind so I won't forget
2. camera... it gives great and nice resolution photos too
3. chatting while attending a meeting. long and boring meeting.. well not a problem to me, not because I have long attention span but I was actually chatting LOL.
4. communications.
and yes... 5. I am "in"
......... that's until, Iphone 4 and Ipad came out of the market.

Hi GandharD:)
Mine's a simple phone too as I usually just use it for calling and messaging like you. Sometimes I use it's other features like the camera, video recorder and fm radio. I have one given by my husband it's touch screen but much simpler than the other phones released recently.
I prefer to use the simpler ones though it's easier I think.
