few times i bought persimmon seeds from ebay, but never was successful to stratify seeds, so i wanted to buy some plants. believe or not, but finally i got them! I bought two of them, but when they arrived i bought two more and now i am awaiting for them to arrive this week. They come from UK and i hope that they will be able to survive our winter cold conditions here.

Persimmons come in several varieties and it's important to know which one you have. They do best in areas that have moderate winters and relatively mild summers (USDA Hardiness Zones 7 to 10). When they are fully dormant mature trees can survive temperatures of about -17 Celsius but any leaves will be killed by a mild frost of -3 degrees. It is probably best to protect the roots of young plants in the winter.
Here are the recommendations for American growers which may or may not be useful to you in Latvia! http://www.crfg.org/pubs/ff/persimmon.html

Thats why i will let the plants stay indoors but in cold conditions in a cold room, but not colder than 0 degrees of celsius. I will grow them this way until next spring or maybe i will wait one more year when plants will be big enough to be planted outdoors to try to survive at winter time in my country.
