Forest Gump is a 1994 movie which I recently watched. The story talks about how he became successful despite his weaknesses which started when he was still a boy. He was a lame boy then but became an extraordinary runner. He became famous in different areas of sports such as table tennis and soccer. He also became a soldier and has saved even his officer's life. But of all the happenings in his life, what touched me the most is his unending and loyal love for Jenny, his only childhood friend that later on became his wife.
This story appears to be funny but gives us many moral lessons. Did you happen to watch this movie too? What can you say about it?

When I saw Forrest Gump (a wonderful film) I felt that the greatest importance was to show different aspects of love. I did not think that the most important part of the film was that he was handicapped or that he was a success, although that made up the plot. But he had a way of love and being loved that was what the movie gave me, when the plot is already forgotten in our memory. That is why the end is so important.

Hi Marìa! I felt that the ending was a show of the most unselfish love. And I guess that was what the movie conveyed for me. I didn`t feel that the girl was specially bad. She was just selfish and self centered. And most of us are not models of unselfishness.

I was really touched by the ending. When I first watched the movie, I was alone so all my attention is concentrated to what I was watching. How can such a man remain loyal to a woman who seems to like ignore him.

Oh yeah, I've seen forest gump.. Its an amazing movie... The best thing is, his honesty and straight forwardness. His innocence, which creates fun sometimes, is the most appealing and impressive thing; it wins every heart... I love that movie... Tom Hanks is the best actor... Watch the 'Saving Private Ryan' too...

I already watched some of his movies including Private Ryan and Castaway, which are also amazing movies. You are right, his innocence really brings the comedy part of the movie.

I have seen this movie a couple of times and loved it. It's full of positive energy as well as life lessons and the one concept this movie really drives home is; it doesn't matter what your circumstances in life are, you can always get what you want if you are persistent. It doesn't matter what advantages or disadvantages you are faced with, but if you really believe in yourself, you will achieve your goals. It's about persistence and believing.

Yeah, friend. I like this movie , too. I like Forest Gump. I especially like the words in the movie"Mum said that life was like a box of chocolate , you've never know what you're gona get!"I feel it's meaningful. His mum is great, too. Whenever I watch it, my heart was full of love and warmth. Yeah, you are right, it gives us many moral lessons, I like them.
Thanks for sharing, enjoy yourself!

Yes, I agree with you. I also like his mom too. She is so patient and loving to Forest and Forest is her life. I also love the "box of chocolate" thing. Thanks for sharing your idea.

I really love Forrest Gump... The story and the character of Forrest Gump is amazing. This teach up to be humble and never be upset for the negative things we are encountering. It is one of the best among the best.

I saw Forest Gump when it came out in the theaters and then we also bought the movie. I guess we should watch it. It is a classic or will be. Once again you have opened up a good discussion. I enjoyed seeing history through the experiences Forest had. I appreciated his loyalty to all of his friends as well as how much he loved Jenny.

I actually suggested this movies to my friends and decided to watch it in one of my friends' house. We were a group that time and so the attention was not totally on the movie and after watching, it's like no one understood it because they were more concerned with the comedy part. Haha!

Forest Gump is a nice movie. In the past we watched it in the school in our English class. At that time I found this movie was boring and I didn't understand why people said it was a good movie. As time goes by, this movie sometimes will be available in the TV. So I watched it for a few times and I started to like this movie. I think it tells me a good lesson, that is just don't give up easily.

That is right. There lessons in this movie but some people fail to see and recognize these life lessons because they are being more entertained by the comedy part of the movie.

Yeah I have watched this movie, it's funny but at the same it's sad isn't it? I don't know but I pity the character Forest even if he was successful. Maybe because he was lame and did Jenny really love him?

"Life is like a box of chocolates!"
the most striking line for me, from this movie ever!
despite the many struggles we have in life, we just need to find some speck of sweetness and consider each event an adventure from which you would never know the flavor it would bring, but still, you can enjoy it as you pick a piece from such box. :)

Haha! I remember this line too. All of us have struggles in life and it's up to us on how are we going to deal with them or how are we going to manage them.
