I am so lucky and truly blessed that i found a real friend. I never thought that one day im gonna need a friend's hands to lift me up. It never came up to my mind and neither expect that he will going to lend his hands and saved me from the situation where i was once before. I am very lucky to have him as my true and genuine friend ever. I hope that one day somehow, somewhere at the right time and at the right place i can return the favor. Thank you my dearest friend!

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i am very happy for u that u have got a good friend who is always there with u at all times and that is the essence of having a friend. A friend should not be the one who will be there with u in only happier times but also during the toughest of the situations.
I think in friendship u never have to repay or return the favor, rather the biggest favor would be to continue the friendship till the end and support him in all situations.
What say?

I thought I had a close friend, I met her at college 9 years ago and we have been good friends until Facebook came and took over, I couldn't compete, she would much rather spend her time posting on Facebook than spend time with me, I was finding I was doing all the giving and she was doing all the taking in the relationship, Plus I had a two hour drive to see her, I decided that enough was enough and to end the friendship. Friendship is a two way thing, and when she started posting personal stuff about her when she could have confided in me instead on Facebook, I knew that the friendship was over. Sad after 9 years but I deserve more out of a friendship.

No man's an island. I'm pretty sure we all have that kind of friend. This kind of friend is truly a treasure. Lucky you have one yourself. Not all friends will lift you up when you're at the lowest point of your life. Only few can do that. Most friends are with you through happy times only. So once you find your one true friend, never let go of that person. :) Happy myLotting! :)

You're certainly so lucky to have found such a friend. A friend who will be there for you through thick and thin. I don't think I have such a friend.
I remember once I've asked help from someone whom I thought was my friend and she refused to help me and I was so disappointed.
I was thinking that throughout our friendship, I've helped her and all I asked was for her to lend me a little money which I know she had but she refused to help me.
I've since severed my ties with her. I still smile at her when I meet her but I'm not that close anymore to her as I used to be. I've learned my lesson.

Lucky of you my friend. A true friend really comes when you need him most. I have found mine too and I'm so fortunate to have many genuine and true friends. I was in my worst situation when they came to visit, brought some flowers, food and even financial support, most of all their prayers. That uplifts my spirit to really fight from my illness. They all made my life worth living.
