My younger brother goes to college in the city, he drives back and forth. It's about a 1.5 hour drive one way.
He drives my parents car, and he already wrote a few of there cars off over his driving or lack of.
My Mother was on a rampage because he was suppose to be finished school at this time, he is always home at this time. I went to my room, to ignore her not my issue what he does honest - he is 18 an adult.
Well he got in the door, and I went to the bathroom, and walked by and you could smell it down the hallway off him. I thought he obviously couldn't of driven home, maybe he got a friend so I went back to my room.
Nope, he drove 1.5 hours home after drinking, with his G2 he cannot have alcohol in his system, also he isn't old enough to drink.
My Mother was too worried that he didn't come home on time, than him drinking and driving when he could of hit someone else and killed them.
My sister came home from a party had 1 beer, at 25 years old and a full G licence and was lectureed about how she shouldnt drink and drive and how she could kill someone.

It seems your parents rather to treat your brother with with TLC even when he is doing something dangerous for both him and others . They are seeing him through rose colored glass , and rather lecture your 25 year old sister .

Hey Ricki, it really seems like what you brother is doing is quite dangerous.
Driving after drinking not only endangers our own life, but the life of other too which makes it really irresponsible. My dad drinks and he always drives after that which i feel that it is really very dangerous. However, my mum feels that he will remain alert which I still think it is better just not to drive at all after drinking.

That's so sad, your siblings are very irresponsible it seems. From all your post i get only one thing that you are an organised person working so hard and earning. Hope your siblings at least something from you.

Drinking and driving is a big problem here in Mexico. The laws need to be tougher here about that.

Drinking and driving is a horrible habbit and it can kill people. If your parents knows this is going on they should not allow him to drive any of their cars. I found out that my own mother was drinking and driving with my two girls in the car and I have cut off all visits with her. There's a long story behind that steming from and abusive relationship from her as a child. But after finding this out it's the straw that broke the camels back if you know what I mean. My husband and I dont drink anymore but back when we did one would drink and the other wouldnt so that way there would be a safe driver. Anybody that drinks n drive should have their license revoked.

Your brother is what your parents have made him.
If I ever have children, they will know to never have so much as one drink and get behind the wheel of the car. They won't need to worry so much about getting caught by the police as they will having to face my wrath. I may be relaxed about a lot of things, but that is definitely one thing I would never tolerate from any child of mine--no matter their age or supposed driving abilities.
