At the moment it is very cold in my home country. Many people are dreaming of visiting somewhere overseas that is warm and sunny. Autumn is September to November in my home country. Winter is December to February. It is sad that fuel charges are high and keep going up. I have locked myself into a fixed deal for electricity and gas. This deal which is fixed will last until March 2014. So it will see me and my family though the next two winters.
I live in England and Southern Europe is cold in the winter. Some people visit the Canary Islands or Egypt for some winter sunshine. Did you ever have a trip in the cold winter time to somewhere warm? If not would you like to do that?

Here in this place we are facing winter seasons at present. Right now it is not severe winter but tolerable. What I observed here, in summer season all people are planning their travel to escape from the scorching Sun. But in winter nobody does the same instead I watched so many tourists are coming here to visit this place. (This place have extreme climate in both seasons). Here the schools are also giving long holiday in summer season only. In winter they give only one week holidays that also in the time of severe cool. May be the icy weather is not lasting long time here, that is the reason people prefer to stay back in winter.

I had experienced the winter season in your place Sree dear I really cherish the sweet lovely days I spent together with my friends there. not only the wonderful cold weather we would never have chance to experience here in our country I love the local food served there too. Wow those spicy vegetarian dishes are so delicious that I had never tasted before. Hopefully there would be chance to revisit your country again

Well, for the first time ever, I am going away in January for a proper holiday! I have never been able to before as I have always worked in leisure travel and January is blacklisted for annual leave time as it is our peak booking period. However, i have recetly moved into a different side of the compnay and now do business travel. I am able to take a trip during this time and a few months back, I won a 7 night stay in Mexico so I only had to pay for my flights which I got cheap with work and so I am actually going away when it will be freezing here and also it is close to my birthday which is an added bonus! :)

You will probably already guess my answer to this one, as you know me! I love our Winters, I love the cold, I love being snuggled up and for me Winter is welcomed with open arms. I have always said that if I had enough money I would find a holiday home to escape the Summer and find somewhere colder. I can't cope in the heat, my moods crash in the Summer. So in the Winter there is no where else I would want to be but in England!

It is winter in my city, too. I often have a thought to travel to Hainan Island in winter because it is warm and sunny there. I like to stay in a warm place in winter as I want to hibernate in winter here. It is cold and I don't want to do anything or I have to say I can't do anything like swimming here. If one day I am rich, be sure I will fly to the warm place to avoid the winter.

Hi youless, I had just come back from a hot tourist mountain resort here two days back. I went there to escape from the scorchers here whereas lots of tourists from China as well others temperate countries to spend their winter holidays here to enjoy the sunshine sweet cool weather here. no need to be rich and I believe it's affordable for you to spend some days here to escape from the severe cold winter. The average temperature in day time is around 20 degree C. It would be a few degrees lower in night time. Have a nice day

I like winter--real winter. I like the snow and the cold. I like the hot beverages and days spent snuggling up inside watching the snow fall.
I spent a year in Florida. I can honestly say that I have no desire to "escape" to a warm climate--not even for a vacation. I was miserable in the heat and humidity. I longed for distinct seasons. After a few months there, I was ready to tunnel my way out and flee back to the North.
I am very definitely best suited to cooler regions.

At the moment, it's 3 degrees PLUS and raining in Norway. So it's about as the UK in winter, and that's just plain wrong. It should be -5 and snowing. Winter should be cold and white, not half-cold and grey *sigh* Usually when I go to Britain in the autumn/winter, it is warmer outside and colder inside. There must be something with the insulation and effective heating, my friends there heat more than I do here but my flat is comfortable, theirs normally aren't :-)
I don't like it when it's too warm so I've travelled to Finland, the UK, Austria etc also in the wintertime. Finland usually has a decent winter but not always in Helsinki, but at least it doesn't stop because of snow. I was in Edinburgh before Christmas in 2011, and managed to just avoid getting stuck on the airport both ways. Also just managed not to get stuck in a train in the middle of nowwhere due to snow on the tracks. Must be careful when travelling in Europe in the winter, most countries don't handle winter weather very well. A friend of mine got stuck in Budapest a couple of years ago, they didn't have any ploughs and when the snow didn't melt, they had to borrow ploughs from Vienna.

Just opposite, I'm bored with the hot weather here all the year round. I have got santan staying longer in the glare I always do my best to escape from the severe searchers spending holidays in places with cold weather If it's affordable I would like to go on vacation in temperate countries where the weather is cold. Yeah it' great to experience different weather in different places. Most of the time my hubby and I would spend few days in mountain area resort where the weather is sweet cool and fresh three orffour time a year to relax ourselves.

Well, I live in Texas and I have a "snow bird" living across the street.
Twice I went up to Colorado when my mom had a condo in Durango during the winter. I don't really like hot weather but I can't say I'm real thrilled with snow.
The second time we had only just gotten to Durango when there was a family emergency in New Jersey and my mom had to go there. My sister and I were chased out of Durango just before a blizzard hit and across New Mexico and most of Texas that day. We left Durango at 8 a.m. and got into Arlington Texas at 2 a.m. the next day. The blizzard only got to Wichita Falls, so when I drove on the next day, well, later that day, to Houston I only had Colorado clothes in my suitcase and the temp never got below 50 in Houston!

If you want to stay in a warm place while it's winter in yours, you can visit my country, the Philippines. We have sunny and rainy season, but we get to have sunny and warm weather most of the time. You can go to a beach, or to our tropical rain forests. We have so many beautiful beaches all over the country! You can also try to go diving as we have a couple of marine sanctuaries to preserve the natural habitat of the marine lives.

I always want to be in a warm climate, as you well know, my friend. That`s why I work and toil so that I can go for a couple of weeks to the Caribbean. Last year`s vacation to St. Maarten made a huge difference in my life as I didn`t know whether I would be able to go anywhere. I would like to go somewhere this Summer. I`ll try to check a place I can afford now.

It's relatively different weather in our country, the Philippines. Although December is quite a rainy season for us and should be a colder weather (especially at night), there are days when the heat of the sun is scorching hot at daytime. We have no winter and only wet and dry seasons and honestly wishing that someday I could visit a country somewhere north of the globe on a snowy winter.

warm countries are very nice so I do not think I've visited but when I watch them but television and online and it seems that everything is so nice when you constantly warm.
to countries where winter is always to be reckoned to have everything suitable for winter.
while summer is very easy.
nice day!

I have not really gone to a trip outside the country yet..the thing is, I also experience what you are experiencing right now.. quite another version thou... like being in my room with a very hot room temperature and wishing to be at work even if it is still 12 noon and my duty starts at 10 pm up to 7 am...
In contrary of, when I am already in the office with the 17% degree aircon temperature set up and could not stand the cold anymore, how I wish to bring myself out in the office back to my room where there is hot temp..
I really don't know how to solve this one because I really have to... Its making me very very sick...Im getting tired seeing myself in a hospital bed like every after two months...it is very disgusting..:(
