I don`t know whether I should post this here or in "health". I had my scan 2 days ago and today I went to see the doctor. The lymphoma is behaving very well up to now. It has not grown and the word is still on remission. I`ll have my treatment (monoclonal antibodies) on Dec, 14 and then I` be on my own until March. So now I have to think about what I will do these next 3 months. There is this difficult goal of slimming down some. Now it seems more worthwhile. Then I could go for some days to visit my friends who live in the country. Do you have times when you feel that you are given a chance to do some really nice things for a while? Are you aware of the time you have ahead? Share. I`m very happy, as you can imagine.

When I saw your title "good news" makes me feel excited for no reason, probably because good news always brings hope and happiness.
I happy that you are doing good, let's hope and pray that God will indeed do a miracle with your health and gives you total healing.

I am fully aware that I am blessed. And not only for the way that my currint illness is behaving, but also because I have always had a good life filled with love and wonderful people. It doesn`t seem that this kind of cancer has a cure, but it is a slow grower and the chemo worked miracles. Not everyone responds to this treatment as I have.

Thanks for your words, friend. The everyday toil makes us stressed, so a vacation is a wonderful moment to relax. Happy posting a take care.

Brava! You are still in remission!
The G-ds have been kind. They have given me time to see all my dreams come true right before my eyes. I hope you do what you really want to do. Take Care.

YAY!!!
This is great news--I am so happy for you, now you can relax for a bit and enjoy the time. I am very aware of time, myself, even though I don't have anything terminal to worry about-- I just feel very old, because of the missing years, I guess--I love it when I get the chance to do something just nice, that I want to do, for me. That doesn't happen too often, but when it does, it feels great.

Quite true-- we are terminal from the moment we are born. It just isn't something I think about all that often. I live my life as fully as I can, and that's all any of us can do, I guess. Zucchini relish? YUM! I love almost anything zucchini--good thing, since no one else in my family does. I get to eat all the zucchini and summer squash every year . Have fun

That is great news! I have only one chemo left myself. I had a cat scan done last week as I had a new pain in my groin and they wanted to make sure that there was nothing there. They decided to do it then since I had the problem since they were going to do it after the next chemo anyway. It turned out good, but my CA-125 was a little higher than before. I am hoping that once this UTI clears up that everything will be ok. I guess I will have to wait and see. I will update things in the next week or so after my class is finished.

Today I had my treatment and now I`m free for 3 months. I have learned to make only short and mid termed plans. I have to do some paperwork to see if I can skip some money the health insurance company says I owe them I hope I can do something as it is a lot of money I don`t have. Fortunatly I know where to get it, although I don`t like the idea. But we should center our thought in what is getting better and not in small things such as where I will find some monney HUGS

I`m not for memorial services either, least of all with a delay of two years. I think that we remember our loved ones as they were when they were while living, even with their bad points. But maybe your brother needs that to move on. I hope the climate is good there in May and that you can do some touristing.

i posted in your other discussion about starting a book of recipes. now someone suggests a blog about your cancer journey. other topics to add to that biography or memoir would be traveling, teaching/education, gardening, working online. so many talents and experience to share! maybe find and pay someone to do the technical stuff (if you want it online instead of print form).
oh, i was thinking to ask if you had any travel plans now that it's summer down there.

The problem with asking someone to make a blog for me is that I would have to pay for it. It would be ok is}f I could ask some small amount of money from the people that read the blog, but that is not done that I know of. I could even translate some of my stories and place them there. But all that means a lot of money. Energy is no problem as I would be willing to work at it. But to hire a person to help me out is beyong}d my means.
I haven´t thought about travel plans yet, although I should start making them. But it seems that everything is focused in Christmas now and I can´t think beyond that.

Thank you very much, Dawn I think we should ask for more smileys here. I would want some that move and other nasty ones. In a playing club I go to, my favorite is a skull.

It is your mind set more than anything else. I have been observing you here and I quite like the way you have handled your illness. You should start a blog on this!

Maybe I have handled well my illness. Who knows! But I can assure you that I could not handle a way to make a blog. I think sometimes that I`m the only person in the world who doesn`t know how to do it. Thanks for your words, friend. I`ll try to live up to them.

I am happy to hear the good news about your health my friend. Indeed, health is our wealth and so we should take care of our body well.
I also have some nice time, 2 months paid leave on work, when i had my operation last May. After the operation i had a grand vacation. I was able to rest and visit my parents and be with them. My husband was so kind to assist me while i am recuperating.
We had a nice time bonding when he comes home at night.

I`m so glad to hear your good news, SIMPLYD. It seems that this year has been a good one in spite of little things here and there. I have discovered that it is a good thing to learn how to count our blessings.

Hi marguicha!
I'm glad that you are doing fine. I hope it would continue that way so that you would be able to do the things that you want, and that is traveling. Who knows you might be able to come to our country too one of these days.
By the way, do you know that the term good news is used in our office as a code hat there is a benefit? Shhh! Just wanted to share some trivia, he he, Have a nice day!

Well, having the chance to do some things is really the best thing would ever happened to me. But the only problem with that is that i would like to use that time with my family and friends, but friends usually have their own things to take care of and they are the only people who i can go out and do crazy things.

That's really good my friend. You are taking care of your health and weight and the result "the good news" . yes we feel excited when we get time for some nice things .I too feel the same.
I can understand because when my grandfather was treated and his health was found normal after his treatment ,we were so relaxed we had a good time. I can see your happiness.

I am specially happy because although my kind of cancer is a slow one, it was in a very advanced stage. So it is really a miracle that it is in control.
