just assumption, what`s wrong in city in champions league?
they comes to Champions league with status as winner of EPL
it should be enough that they should be ready in champions league
don`t ask about composition of player..
their squad is complete.
one of the complete in their group..
But mourinho before the first games in group ever said that he doesn`t worry Manchester city..
he just worries Borrusia dortmund
and his prediction is right..dortmund become winner of the group..Madrid is lucky to be runner up..
and Manchester city?
once again become the fool team in the death group..The record is complete because they never win in the group stage..it`s like fool team , by fool player and trained by fool coach or manager..
how come the winner in one of the prestige league become stupid and worst team in champions league?
any analysis, what`s wrong with City in champions league this season??

Not always a strong team will be successful in a competitive match as league champions. One thing that is very important also that a team has a smart coach. Appropriate strategy from a coach will make a team to be very strong. I think this is what happened in Manchester City team that has great players but not supported by a smart coach.

It's they lucky time to be the winner of EPL last year. They rival, like Manchester United or Chelsea still fight in Champions League 2011 but Man City just focus on EPL after they lost on Euro Cup 2011. I think you will be understand what I mean.

I think they are still finding their footing in the championship, but within the next 2 years they will win it.
They have a complete squad yes but not a complete team.
They still need to learn to play as a team.
I am backing them to do good.
They will retain the EPL.

A team that is good in their league does not necessary be successful in the champion league. Honestly speaking Manchester City is not performing up to standard and i think the recent result is fair to them . In soccer, not necessary the strong team will win everytime or else barcelona will be winning the cup everytime yea.

It boils down to Champions League experience. The tournament and calibre of the tournament is very different from that of the BPL. I still remember English teams, Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal struggling badly after the ban on English clubs will lifted. It took Man Utd and Liverpool many failed attempts before they finally get a grip of it. So it is not surprising that Man City is struggling now. But give them a few more seasons and they will be a force to reckon with, if they qualify for the tournament, that is.

I agree with you, they do not get champions league experience as a team, but by next year they will get there. I was disappointed in them loosing to Manchester United, but they will rebound. I still think they can win the EPL.
They need one more good defender in the January Window.

City is winner in premier league. In premier league there are some of the team in under level of City, this is the reason they can be winner in premiere league. But in Champions league there is nothing a team in under level of them. So they need more in mental to against the team in their level and higher levels. They have no confident if fight in the Champions league.

MU & Arsenal is very different with City. they are very "mature" in Champion league and both has good achievement in UCL for several season. their coach Ferguson and Wenger is also has many experience with the team in UCL...

he should be an assistant manager of Sir Alex and Wenger..so he can learn it..
Mourinho does it when he becomes the interpreter of Boby Robson..He "steal" all ways and style of Boby Robson and changed it with his own style..and now he becomes the Special one..

champions leage has the own atmosphere, even Manchester City have many great players but is not mean will be very easy to get tha champions trophy. and the important one is money is not everything in football but the solid team and also the history of the team is very important in the champions league.
