Christmas is just around the corner and in order to avoid the mad rush in the groceries, I decided to buy some items that I would be needing for Christmas dinner this early. I just bought the pasta, pasta sauce, ingredients for fruit salad and macaroni salad. I've also bought the cookies and snacks to serve in between, plus the fruit juice. I decided to buy the meats a day or two before Christmas, or if not earlier than that. The queues at groceries are very long this time of the year and I want to avoid that. So, has anyone stocked up on what you will need for Christmas?

times like these make me grateful for sari-sari stores, wet markets, and mini-marts that you can just walk to around the neighborhood or flag a tricycle. you don't deal with crowds, lines and scrambling for taxis and decent drivers.
when do you usually have guests, christmas or new year? i hope someone can help you with the cooking and cleaning.

We love to have a traditional christmas dinner and so far we have got most of the things that we need to have that, less to worry about closer to the time.
Our life is always on the go and there are always appointments that we have to try to keep up with, so this means we have had to try to get things sorted a bit early.

UGH, do not remind me that Christmas is around the corner! You are definitely in a good place, thinking ahead like that. My family always waits until last minute. I try to get it done about a week before Christmas to avoid the last-minute rushes, but even then it feels as though there is a huge rush going on. *sigh*.
