What are your thoughts on paddle shifters in the Evo X?

Some of the Lancer Evolution X models feature paddle shifters (as opposed to a traditional manual stick shift), which I think are pretty cool. In the past I've only really seen supercars have paddle shifters, so I think it would be cool to drive a high-performance daily driver with paddle shifters!
What about you? What are your thoughts on paddle shifters being in the Evo X? Do you like them or would you rather have a traditional manual transmission with a stick-shift?

Hi.. Lancer Evolution X is a kind of high permanence car and of course can be used for racing or for stunt performances.Anyone on the wheel will like to have a paddle shift that the stick that's present in a normal sedan. If you would ask me I would of course only prefer the paddle shift that give a racing feel.

Yeah, I think that the paddle shifters would indeed make the car a lot of fun and sort of make it feel like a race car. I think it would be a lot of fun to take one of these to a track sometime, especially if it was mine! All I know is that it would make daily driving a lot of fun!

While I drive manual cars,I've never (yet!) owned a high performance car..my only experience with paddle shifters is the vicarious one from watching "Top Gear"-Those guys have driven a lot of performance cars over the years that I can only dream of trying out,but the overall impression I get from their response to the technology is that "flappy paddle gearboxes" still need more work to get them right..YMMV....

I haven't driven one yet, but as long as the paddle shifters are responsive and good in the Evo X, I'd be happy. I think that the idea of paddles shifters is great (allows for very quick gear changes, used in racing), but like you said, I have heard things too where in some cars they're not very quick, for example... It would be nice if all the bugs could be sorted out and we could start finding them on more performance cars being sold.
