Magical Cleaning Fairy???

I really think my husband thinks there is a magical fairy that comes in and cleans the house for us and takes care of the kids. Lol. Whenever he comes in from where ever he is he says your on MyLot again? Like, its as if he thinks I do "nothing" all day long but sit here on MyLot. I come here once everything else is taken care of. I guess he thinks the magical fairy comes here to take care of the kids, clean the house, do the laundry, etc... I REALLY wish there was a magical fairy that came in to do all of that because I would not be so tired if there was!!

Is there not a cleaning fairy? Shock, Horror and again Shock... no no - as a modern man, I do my fair share of housework.... however when it comes to dusting, there are times when I might not do it all instead using the classic "Don't put stuff back properly trick"

I know I was shocked too when I found out there wasn't! My husband does when I ask him enough! Lol. It's awesome that you help out too though, you can teach my husband a few things...

They should! Lol. Your exactly right, she will be annoyed if things are misplaced.

Gladly - I believe that every bloke should know the dusting trick - don't dust everything and move ornaments around. The good lady will not notice that everything has not been dusted because she will be too annoyed that the man can not put thing properly

If there was a magical fairy they should start up a magical fairy business and start hiring out magical fairies, it would be popular! Was he being sarcastic when he said you're on Mylot again? He would soon complain if you didn't do all the housework and neglected the kids. I suppose he expects you to make dinner for him as well when he gets in?

Yes that is a GREAT idea!! They would be VERY successful! Lol. I think he was being sarcastic, not too sure. I don't care, he had nothing to say more than that because everything was done! If nothing was done yes he would have complained about that. Sometimes I cook, sometimes he does. It all depends on his mood at the time...

I don't know where this ridiculous idea that men don't clean comes from, I always clear up immediately junk starts making it hard to walk across the floor and wash up the very moment there is no more room on the worktop all the best, urban

Well, though I am a man, I often happen to me to help my mother with housework and cleaning. Even in my house, there is no magical fairy who do the cleaning for us, more than anything, the bathroom should always be clean, neat and perfect. In fact, it is the "business card" of the house! To clean the floor, I use a product that washes and waxes in a single pass. This then, when the floor is completely dry, then just go with the polisher. They often work to do if we want to live in a decent environment and especially when there is no "fairy."

Well does he know you actually get paid for being on here? I know how you feel though, instead of a man in my life I have a mother who I live with who thinks I do nothing all day and today was no exception. She was in a bad mood cause she had to wait for someone today and they never showed up so her mood went sour and she started on both me and my dad today. She left my brother alone as she always does but he was mostly at work. Still, she has to point out things I do "wrong", my dad does "wrong" and always leaves the brother alone and it drives me crazy nuts! I have this stuff on a shelf all neat and tidy but it's been there a long time and I haven't had any buyers for it on eBay like I used to have cause the site went downhill during the economy. She was talking like she refuses to beleive it is casue of that and was starting to stay the stuff is rotting, etc there. Well, I just was like, what the *bleep* do you think my brother's stuff is doing on the liv floor piled up high in the corner. It is not just a little pile, it is as if someone elft stuff they didn't want anymore at a curb! And it is nothing neat at all. Yet she leaves him alone as always. I would just like to know what kind of power he has to always be left out of her rants. I said to her, something to the fact about him having all that pile of junk there which she puts a white sheet over the top of whenever someone is here ( UGH!) and she said that he COULD sell it. Well, then why doesn't he??! Duh. It's been another trying day with her as you can see, she has some good days in there and then goes back to the same old cr*p again, it's a pattern these type of people have. Hopefully your hubby doesn't get that bad. She said that I put the computer on first thing in the morning and last thing at night and they of course do not do that with their TV which is pure BS! She puts the TV on first thing at 6-7 in the morning cause it wakes me up, then they shut it off but then it's on again around 7ish. It is also the last thing my brother does before going upstairs to watch more of his DVDs upstairs but of course that is fine. I cannot stand living here anymore due to this crap, ughhhhhhhhhh. So sick of it. In the morning it is not the first thing I do, I do dishes before I even put the computer on most morning and other things. Her mind is just flipping gone. I don't even care anymore if she rejects me, she is so pathetic. I just want out of this dump.

He does know that. He wasn't mad or anything, he just gave me that look like why are you on there instead of doing something else? Too bad, everythings done already! (Thanks to the cleaning fairy, Lol). I'm sorry for all you go through there. Honestly nailtech I swear to you it sounds like you live with my parents. I swear to goodness! It is so weird. Every time you say something about your mother, I think of my father. My mother is more like your father, always getting b*tched at most of the time. Rarely ever does my mom go off but my father is really bad about pointing fingers and its never him that does anything wrong, ever. I so badly wish you could get out of there. I know its going to affect you emotionally as I am sure it already does. My father has caused me to have low self esteem and a lot of other things... For now, here are some hugs and I hope you get out of there as soon as possible sweetie!

My mom acts like a dude anyways alot of the time, probably why she is like your dad. Most men are likely to do that than a female, in my opinion. I'm not being bias but it is from what I mostly here from various sources. Oh yea, it is already effected me, alot of my self esteem is gone (a long time ago) which is one of the reasons I can't get out of here. It is a vicious circle, and I think one day it will only end on a bad note for me and no one else. Thanks for the hugs, that is something she doesn't believe in either. Not surprisingly.

Hello loving. It would be nice if we all had Magical Cleaning Fairies, or to be like Samantha the witch and be able to wiggle our nose and things could get every thing done. My fairy has been on vacation for a long time now and I have to do her chores. My family don't see me doing the chores and as you said they think a fairy does the chores. The kids in the family are all over 16 and so do their own laundry but that's about it unless Mom gives them special chores to do. I like you sure could use a magical Cleaning Fairy. When you find one get her to send an extra one my way.

I think the magical cleaning fairy forgot me. Not only do I get to do it at home, a large part of my job at work is cleaning as well. I think the good deeds the cleaning fairy does are far outweighed by the grimy grinch. He runs through the house dirtying up everything faster than I can clean it up.

Oh I would So hate having a job of cleaning on top of the house work. Ugh, one is enough for me. Lol. I understand, I have a grinch that does the same thing! As well as the grinch's little helpers!! Lol, they seem to think the fairy likes to clean their messes!

Hi! Does he notice the cleaned house and kids not complaining to him that they were not ignored. He needs to respect and acknowledge your efforts in maintaining the house and looking after the kids. You must tell him that you first finish the tasks in hand and then only you go for mylotting.

hi LovingmyBabies yes I think m ost of them think that way although my hubby did not mind sweeping,or dusting, or vacuuming it was only dishes he refused to do either. He could change diapers and even bathed the babies but wash dishes not on your life. And when he cooked as he often did he dirtied every pot and pan in the kitchen lol. Of course I ended up doing all that stuff.

My husband hates the dishes too! And he does the same thing, he likes cooking so he will make a HUGE MESS in the kitchen and then want me to clean it all up! I have gotten to the point where I tell him now I don't care that you cook but you ARE going to clean up your mess once your done. I have 3 kids and 2 dogs to clean up after too every day!! Or the magical cleaning fairy does actually...

My husband would say almost the same. He is not into computers or the internet. He doesn't know which sites I visit. All he thinks is that I am playing online games everytime I am hooked with my laptop. And he would even say that I am jut wasting my time and I am not earning a cent. It really annoys me hearing this over and over. But I do make sure that like you, I finish everything that needs attention before I bury myself in bed with my laptop.

Most men would... Lol. My husband knows that I am on MyLot. All of my chores are done before I come here and my children are taken care of as well. But he thinks the magical fairy does it all I suppose.

Hi! Heheheh--you're not the only one as I too sort of feel that way; not working so I somehow have all this time to myself. My foot! Does it help if you can do just a couple things a day so you can get something accomplished without overdoing it? Can your kids help in any sense? I have a 2 year old and sometimes he'll put his pants away, shut the drawer, hand his cup to us when he is done (often, not always) and put his bib on the counter. May not sound like much but every little bit does help and he knows that we appreciate it. I will admit that there are some times where I really need what I have come to call "Me times"; where I go look for clothes, watch a film, read a book, bake, whatever I want to do that has been put aside until it cannot wait any longer. Sometimes my daughter comes with me and sometimes, I go alone. Perhaps you can do something like this yourself; you get some time and hubby gets times with the kids. Heheheheh!

Yeah its a lot of work on me sometimes! My kids do help, they try. Lol. Sometimes by their trying they really are not helpful at all since I have to do it again anyway after them! Lol. But I have to give them credit they like helping mommy. =) I have no me time ever and I think I should start having some. Maybe I will start asking my husband soon so I can do things I want to do and get some peaceful moments for myself without feeling so overwhelmed in life! Thanks for the great idea!

Wow, I think you have that time management. A work of mother is really challenging and not that so easy. Household chores is not that easy. And good thing he would never scold you for doing Mylot and he is very considerate. I know the feeling of being a mother that was left at home and after doing all the household chores, don't know already what to do but sit and think and think. So boring like my mother always utter with me so I always tell her that she should go outside and do socialize.

I do a lot at home. With 3 kids I have no other option but stay busy. They are good kids but they do keep me going... Lol. That is a mothers job to do all of that! But a magical fairy would definitely be helpful for me sometimes!
