Today my boyfriend called me and asked if I wanted to go at his place for lunch after work. He had a day off and I came back at 2 pm so I decided to say yes since I finished early! He had a surprise for me, he had cooked a very nice oven-baked lunch with salad and dessert. The dessert was from his mother but I only tried it because I was really full after the delicious lunch! Then I washed the dishes and we wqtched a movie. I had a great time and it was already dark outside when I left. Time passes so fast when we spend time with the people we love. Does your loved one cooks for you every once in a while trying to show that he/she cares for you?

My boyfriend then, now my husband, did cook for me when we were in College. He would even cook dinner for the family. I guess it is his way of expressing how happy he is for being accepted in our family.

I am just curious: now that you are married, does he still cook for you sometimes?
I don't know a lot of husbands who cook. My friend's dad always cooks on holidays, but his wife cooks the majority of the time. I always thought it was great that he was such a good cook and could do more than start a barbecue!

My husband actually does most of the cooking, and has done so since back when we were dating, as I have never been much of a cook. He actually can cook some really good meals, and has learned more stuff the longer we are married by always asking questions from someone.

It seems like he enjoys cooking very much! If he asks for different recipes, new ideas and different ways to improve his cooking, it means that he likes it a lot. And I know from personal experinece that when you cook with excitement and you feel nice about what you are doing, then the food comes out even more delicious and tasty!

Yeah. I don't currently have one of them there friend boys, but I've had one like that in the past. It wasn't a love thing though. Still its impressive when a guy will do things like that.

Me and my boyfriend is far from each other and we usually see each other every two to three months. Every time we are together, we are always in each others side. There came to the point that even in bathing we want to be together but it was not allowed. lol. What I really mean is we spend time with each other even we are doing our household chores. Like that of preparing foods for the family, he used to go in my family's place and there we always be one who prepared meal and that was our very memorable bonding moment. We do the laundry together also.

Haha! It sounds like you do everything together! I was this way when we were both living alone when I first met my bf! I was spending many weekends at his place because I was in the same house with my brother and my boyfriend said he didn't feel very comfortable so I was going at my bf's place. We were doing everything together, cooking, going to the super market, watching tv, making coffee etc. It was a wonderful time!

Yes, it's good to share the work. It's unfair if the person that cooks does the dishes as well!
We shared the work as well, I cleaned the table and the dishes and then we made some coffee and watched the movie.
It sounds like you have a good relationship and you work things out very well when you are with your fiance!

That's very sweet of your boyfriend to cook for you. In my situation, me and my girlfriend both loves to cook, so it will be an alternate thing. Like last week, she cooked a delicious pasta and this week, I think Im gonna prepare some good tasty veggie salad.

To tell you frankly such situation had never arise with us before marriage. But I can say now when I am sick my hubby do make the tea and omelet for him, my sone and me. And great thing about my hubby is that I have told him how to make use of cooker so that in my absent he can make rice. At least more then 15 times in a month he only put the cooker and prepared Rice, as I leave for my work early and he leaves late around 10 A.M.

It's more difficult to make this effort if he doesn't know how to cook! But I can see that he is trying! Preparing the rice means that he wants to help you and offer for you and your child!
I think that it's good for men to stay alone for a while before getting married because they learn how to take care of themselves. Some men have this ability without trying, ot they have the will to try it! While others want everything to be ready for them and I believe it is a bad habit.

I'd really nice to have someone cook for you and enjoy time being together. My mom is a good cook so I wanted to learn some from her so as to show to my boyfriend. While it's great to see how he reacts about the dishes. The most important is that two people enjoy being around together. Thanks for share this and have a nice day, friend.

Yes, he does. We cook something together and usually he spends money for the ingredients but cooks at our house.
He's a good cook. Not perfect but good enough.
I'd rather my love cook for me than I cook for him. I'm not skilled at cooking. Too lazy to learn most of the time.

Before I got married with husband yes, he cooked foods for me. From breakfast until supper with his mother. first time he cooked, his mother and I, were both laughing because of the taste of one recipe. however, we thank him for he really did his efforts to do the stuff.

Yes. My boyfriend doesn't actually know how to cook. His cousins were even surprised to hear that he's the one preparing my packed lunch for work because they thought he doesn't even know how to use the stove. I was so proud to tell this to my workmates and commented that he's not a bad cook after all.

My husband does the cooking, he cooks for me every day. :) I do not know how to cook, except to fry. My only specialty is cooking pasta carbonara or white sauce. My husband is a chef so he can make even a simple meal very delicious. It's nice that your boyfriend cooks for you. That's a good sign. He might be the one. :)

I do most of the cooking here at home. My Mom will cook for us when I'm picking up the kids from their stays with their Dad, because we get home so late. I have had others' cook for me, maybe once. It is truly a nice gesture and I would love to have more meals cooked for me. Your boyfriend must really care for you to make you such a nice dinner and a salad too, awesome. He even baked it instead of frying it, now that is saying something, you better hang onto this one.

Haha!! He is not great in the kitchen but this time he really did his best, the food was delicious! I used to cook for him as well when I had my own place and I was inviting him over to have dinner, now I can't do that when my parents are home.
It was a nice gesture indeed and I enjoyed it very much!

Maybe he will cook for you one day! Guys are usually bored of cooking, unless they have to! My bf is also bored to prepare food for himself, but every once in a while he cooks.
Your husband does the housework, that's a big advantage! It's good to have someone helping around the house!

I have been very lucky to date guys who could cook well. One guy I dated is actually thinking of going into the restaurant business since he loves making Moroccan food for people. I cook too, but my reasoning is that as the relationship progresses, I start cooking more, so I will enjoy his cooking in the beginning stage :)

Your day sound like an amazing day. I'm happy when I hear about great relationships with partners caring about each other.
Cooking in order to show love is my thing in my relationship. I love to cook and I also love to experiment fancy dishes in order to impress my boyfriend. He likes to eat something that has a story and I try to have one to make the food tastier. But I really appreciate when he cleans up the dishes (it's also his obligation, but he uses to avoid it quite often).
