There are some network sites who sends you different stuffs and then deducts Php2.50~5.00 and sometimes Php15.00 You have to check whether you are subscribed to something from them. Sometimes they say you are subscribed but then you didn't subscribe at all. In this case, you have to contact them and ask them to deactivate whatever it is. Some send ringtones, wallpaper, quotes, trivia and others. You have to ask them now because sometimes they do it daily, other subcritions are sent weekly so your load will be gone before you know it.

Yes, they send us promos on how we can avail of their discounts but the fact is, if you have subscribed to them, that's the time this hidden charges comes out. As you have said, sometimes they did charged us even though we have not subscribed to them. And since we have not subscribed to their promos, how can we deactivate it if these networks don't tells us how we could to.

Yes, your right. If we send the wrong code to unsubscribe, we would be charged again for the text. I just hope they would do the job for us if we call their hotline, but sometimes those people on this line (CSR) would tell us, that we should be the one to deactivate it, because we are the one who subscribed to this promo.

They have lots of codes and it differs depending on the subscription. If you send a wrong code for unsubscribing, they might charge you again so to be safe, just call their hotline and let the customer service representative deactivate the subscription for you.

This is a sad state for us network users here in our country be it smart or globe. But smart deducts more. I am a globe user but it deducts prepaid load balance from me too now from 2363

Yes, I guess we just have to learn to live with it, because the agency who is supposed to help us can't do anything. They are only good in press releases while these network providers ignores them. Anyway, I haven't heard from this number again for quite sometime now. I just hope they already stop.

I don't find any such problem still now. If you find a unfair balance deduction from your mobile account just file a petition. The customer care agent will observe you and your history and help you. Some they will refund you if it is legal.

This is a common problem with our network providers. Many subscribers are complaining about losing load and the victims mostly are prepaid subscribers. It's just fine if you are a postpaid subscriber, you can easily contact your provider and request the cancellation. But if prepaid like me it takes time. I just hope I can solve this problem sooner.

Hi, I also such type of problem one year before. I hadn't subscribed for any facility but my balance got deducted for dialer tone, astrology etc. So I went to mobile shop and applied for DND(Do Not Disturb). So I am relieved from all these problems. Now I don't receive any massages from mobile company for subscribing any facility.

It's good that you have that kind of service in your area. This is the first time I've heard of it. Anyway, I have complained to my provider about the deduction telling that I have not subscribed to any promo, most especially to the said number. But as expected they told me that maybe I have forgotten that I have done so and they said that I should complain to the said number.

Yes, this is very common now a days. I don't know what our government is doing about this issue. The regulating government body which is NTC can not do anything because even themselves are being ignored by this telco companies. It's been a year since they have ordered these telco to lower their sms rates but it's been ignored up to this time.

Hi stanley777, sorry to learn that the balance of your discount had been deducted without your knowledge. Try to ask people close to you to see whether anyone subscribe anything using your ac. Although I haven't had any idea about the mentioned number, I know number of 4 digits or more is the site of the person that sends the sms. I'm familiar with the number 62288. It's from the famous local hill resort here. Whenever I see this number I know there is promotion for booking accommodation again Have a nice day and happy posting

Yes, this is a very common issue against these network providers. They don't really explain much what would happen to our load if we decided to subscribe to their promos like ringtones, wallpapers and the likes. So some customers just accepts or subscribes to these promos without really knowing what is it that they had agreed upon with their network provider. There was also a time that even you have not subscribed to this promos our load is also deducted like what had happened to mine. The problem with this network is, they would not provide us the owner of such number so we can stop this deduction.

Yeah, I was planning to log a complain but I have second thoughts of doing so. As we all knew these telco companies have been ignoring an order from NTC, our government regulating body that monitors their activity. Many subscribers have been complaining such deduction but sad to say, this still goes on.

I actually never knew that we could be charged for some message sent to us unless we reply to it. Although I think it's possible if our roaming feature is turned on, and the message was sent from another country. Hmm... It's good that you've posted this. Made me think twice now not to open or reply to messages sent from numbers I don't know. If you have a postpaid plan, it's easier to question the deduction. But as to knowing who owns the number, I don't think it would be easy to get that information from the telecom company even though they are capable of finding out who owns the number.

Same thing has been happening to my number. I do not subscribe to any of those as I find them not interesting. But everytime I have credits on my phone, those messages from the network would deduct 2.50 to 5.00 pesos from me. I tried calling the network and asked them to manually unsubscribe it for me but all they said that I should be the one to do it. But then, even if I did unsubscribe from it, still the same thing.

Yes, we can not get any help from these providers because they thought that we have registered to this promos. How can we cancel our subscription if in case we have forgot that we have subscribed to this promo. The problem is, how can I contact this number so that they will stop deducting my load every time I receive sms from them.

I guess it's almost the same as yours, the only difference is, mine is about religion. So, you have threatened your network provider, if they will not do the unsubscribing on your behalf you will transfer to other network. I guess, I have to contact their hotline and ask them to do the cancellation on my behalf.

I think it just a another tacticts of your service provider to cut your balance. They are often do these kind of things. You should complain them and get your balance back... Good luck hav a nc day.

Yes, this is the common practice of some network providers. Many have complained about this issue, but up to this time it's still an issue. My network provider being the largest with regards to subscribers as they say, had joined the others. Ringtones, wallpapers, long talking hours are some of their promos. If you subscribes to their promos it's natural that it will be deducted because you have accepted or you have agreed to it but if not, they have no right to deduct it from our load the cost of the sms.

As to my past experiences, when you receive a strainge number calling you but imidiatelly off ,if you call back that number ,you must pay that bill from the spam. i havenot got the case like what you met there.just a message from other place. better to report or complain to your sim card running operator.

Yes, I'm planning to call my service provider to inquire about this deduction. It's just okay for me to deduct the cost of such sms if I have registered to this promo, but I have not that is why I'm furious. I just hope I can think of something to stop it.

I guess, it's the best I could do at the moment. The sad fact is, these Telcos company is not following a previous order from National Telecommunication Company, a government entity that regulates the irregularities being committed by them. I just hope they would attend to my query.
