How are you earning money?

Do you work outside the home at a regular job or self-employed office? Do you have more than one job to make ends meet? Do you work at home with one or more jobs? Do you work online for primary or supplementary income? Do you hold one or more online jobs?
I'm just curious how everybody is managing these days, because it can be hard. At different times in life, I had held one to four jobs, other and self-employed, usually outside the home, but sometimes home-based. I have done waitressing, nursing, teaching, delivery and healthcare industries. Currently, I work at home online through several ventures, including freelance writing, affiliate marketing, referrals, surveys and PTC. I prefer to be my own boss and be at home, instead of other situations.
What's your present work situation? Do you plan to make any changes?
Best wishes? :-)

Oh, I am very much like you. I am an all-around teacher. I tutor and train anyone who needs my service. I also organize events sometimes, like two in a year. I know how hard it is to get by these days but I am sure that with hard work and patience, we will all survive these challenges.

It is a tough economy right now and I just read an article on "part time" america. A lot of companies are down sizing and forcing employees to go to part time work. I don't make much, but I do what I can. My kids and I live with my Mom. I babysit, clean and try to earn a little online. I earn from sites like gather, mypoints, inboxdollars and swagbucks. I generally make about $200 a month and then another $30 a month online. I don't do surveys, as they are time consuming and I generally never qualify after the initial questions. I am diligently trying to do more, so the kids and I can get our own apartment. It takes a lot of effort, but in the end it will be worth it.

Actually, I work outside in a full-time job where I started four month ago. In addition to that, in my free time I make some money only like in this site, writing summaries and selling second hand items. As I am one of those millions of person touched by the actual financial situation, I emigrated, reduced my outcomes and now I try to save some money. For the future, I have my own dream to open my own company and to be my own boss. Beside of that, I love working online at home.

Hello, camomile, and thanks for joining in. How interesting that you emigrated. So many celebrities are leaving France, and some regular Americans are leaving the States, too, to reduce their cost of living. It's wonderful that you plan to add self employment to your financial plan. I think you'll be a great success at it, as slaving away for others, when you can get the work, doesn't seem to produce as much financial security anymore. Online work is always good, because you don't have to spend time, money and gas for traffic and parking. You can just get straight to work from the comfort of your home, at any hours you have available. Good luck.

I have a regular job from where I make around 200$ per month , other than that, I make around 10-20$ a month online. This is all I can possible make for my living for a month and as you said, it is indeed really hard to love with just such things. I am living with my parents and that is the only reason how I am able to manage my living with such little earnings that I get from both online and offline.

Thank you for responding. That is great that you can live with your parents. It certainly helps under such financial challenges. What kinds of work are you doing online?
Best wishes! :-)

Maybe Textbroker and ContentCurrent are worth a look for you? Freelance content writing, they pay weekly via Paypal. Best wishes! :-)

I work outside the house I earn about £120 a week but my hours have been cut so I'm only getting around £60-75 a week now and £50 goes to rent so I'm not getting much. I'm hoping to find myself a self employment at home but not exactly found it just yet lol

Since you have web access, you can use those cut hours to bang out a few articles and replace that lost income with better money. Maybe look into Textbroker and ContentCurrent for opportunities. They're easy to get on with and pay weekly via Paypal. Just 8 articles a week at $5.50 could yield an additional $44.00 USD, but you are welcome to do as many as you like. Both are hiring worldwide, if I'm not mistaken, and have clients who appreciate those who can write in UK/AUS English and other languages. Best wishes! :-)

I am working a regular day job at the same times managing some articles and blogs which I have written years ago. Doing some article linking when I have the time to write fresh articles. Internet income is coming in passively although not very much.
I would want to do more online but I simply do not have the time now. I also do some surveys once awhile when I m outside using my tablet.
Cheers

Thank you for responding, arci! Content writing for digital agencies seems to be doing better for me than the passive stuff, while I get the passive built up. Best wishes! :-)

I am a shut in, and have been for several years now, so I work entirely online, freelance writing for both private clients and at several reputable websites. I also raise alpacas, and I spin their fiber to make yarn that I sell, and I will be building a loom this winter so I can weave things as well. According to my kids, I have had all kinds of weird jobs in my life--but since I suffer from severe retrograde amnesia, I don't remember them . According to them, I have done nurses aide, fast food, read tarot cards on a 900 line, and was an exotic dancer in my youth. I don't know how much of that I believe, but my other half says they're telling the truth--so I guess they probably are. The only changes I have made are geared towards finishing the e-book I am writing--about writing, as a matter of fact. Since the best time to launch an e-book is in January, I am kind of up against a deadline (of course it's self-imposed, so I may drag my heels).

Thanks for the lovely compliment, tedifa! I'm so glad to hear your hobbies are making you money. I also post my beaded jewelry designs to my Etsy shop, but my pictures are not the best and my camera recently broke. Best wishes! :-)
