Its a common habit for many of us to run behind money in order to get hapiness. But we dont realize that the money can even become a cause of unhapiness. We think that we can buy hapiness with excess money, but thats not correct.Money can give comfort, but not hapiness.

that's true that money can give comfort and might be bring happiness but that for short period of time. As we know money is also a essential part and we have to care both of this tactfully that none can impose one another.

I like that quote: Money can provide comfort but not happiness. It is true, we can make up our minds to be happy. It is a challenge when we are in a financial difficulties, but that doesn't need to destroy our hearts and souls. Success is a journey as well as a destination. I will never forget one Christmas season when my husband was very ill and we were really struggling financially, I found the Christmas Joy in little things. Even though our small city had old Christmas decorations that were put up every year on Main Street, that year, I appreciated them more, as they brought me Joy because they brightened up my Spirit. Be Happy.

Yes, that is definitely true! I have noticed that sometimes the people who have lots of money are actually the ones who are really unhappy. When I was little, I remember that my family never had a lot of money. We always managed to have our necessities, but it seemed like there was always a bit of a struggle. However, we were always very happy, because we always had each other, and we had our basic needs met. On the other hand, I know someone whose family always had plenty of money, but they had a really bad childhood, because the family was always fighting and unhappy. I would definitely prefer having less money and living in a family that gets along and loves one another!

the work will give you the money. the money will give you the facility. The facility will give you the comfort. the comfort will give you the hapiness.

With money you can buy a house, but not a home. With money you can buy a clock, but not time. With money you can buy a bed, but not sleep. With money you can buy a book, but not knowledge. With money you can buy a doctor, but not good health. With money you can buy a position, but not respect. With money you can buy blood, but not life. With money you can buy secks, but not love. http://www.1000advices.com/guru/fin_chinese_proverbs.html Yes, money can not govern us (supposedly) but why people need to work as hard as possible. Why people need to stay in the office rather than spend time to children. Why people need to oppressed people because of money? Yes some of us still believe that money is everything.

I definitely agree. I recently realized this in my own life even though I have been chasing money for a while. I was depressed and the moment I stopped doing something fun or joyous as a distraction I felt so empty. The last few years up to now I have been working on my faith. Even more recently I quit my well paying but monotonous job in HR, stopped working towards a degree and intentionally tried to get rid of a lot of possessions or at least not worry about them. I was so wrapped up in finishing my English degree not even realizing that I was not learning anything about writing. I can write on my own, get feedback from the world and that will be my teacher! A 35K/yr piece of paper could not provide that for me so I took the leap of faith and stopped caring about impressing family and friends. I am now happier than ever living with my best friend, going out to parks, taking walks, reading and writing and just working towards my goal of photography and writing for my life passion. I may be without a lot of money but I am happier than I have ever been in my life!

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Yes i completely support to you on this that people nowadays are running after money while forgetting the fact that money will only give them happiness for a temporary period of time. Money can never become a perennial source of happiness and joy. In fact we have to search and look out for the possible sources of happiness as money will give u comfort as u have mentioned but it can never give u happiness in the long run. There are some things that money can't buy and that is happiness. What say?

For many of us having money means having everything, whatever we want from material goods to love, and consequently happiness. It's true that money doesn't make happiness, but without it we are unhappy as well. We need money for the most simple things like eating, sleeping somewhere, clothes to put on, bringing up kids, but most of all for our health. Actually all run for money because it gives safety from all points of view. Billionaires excluded, they are a separate blessed branch who possess everything.
