How can I sign up in Chime?

If you mean Chime.in, then all you need is a Facebook or Twitter account in order to join Chime.in -- except that those may be blocked where you are. Where I am Facebook and Twitter are not blocked but I don't want to join Chime.in through another website because of privacy concerns and even if I had no privacy concerns, I simply do not want to join any network through another network and I emailed the head of Chime.in to tell them so. Needless to say, UberMedia (the owner of Chime.in) is clueless about those who might otherwise join their network. It does not occur to them that people might be fleeing Facebook or Twitter for greener pastures and not want those older networks to know what they are doing lest Facebook or Twitter exact retribution in some way. And some people might want to occasionally go back to Facebook for certain things (search, games, groups, whatever) and Twitter for certain things (for news, to make announcements, reading feeds, etc.) but are moving to Chime.in to do completely new things that they never did at Facebook or Twitter. But try and tell that to the idiots running newer internet companies who are going with this "use Facebook or Twitter to sign up or sign in" trend. Let them run their companies into the ground. I am moving on to websites that are not so stubborn and offer the old way to sign up.
